1. Introduction

2. What's in the Box

3. Setup

Follow these steps for initial setup of your Fuzion KL7 Milligram Scale:

  1. Unpack the Scale: Carefully remove the scale and all accessories from the packaging.
  2. Install Batteries: Open the battery compartment cover on the bottom of the scale. Insert the two AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity. Close the battery compartment.
  3. Placement: Place the scale on a flat, stable, and vibration-free surface. Avoid placing it near air vents, fans, or in direct sunlight, as these can affect accuracy.
  4. Remove Protective Film: If present, remove any protective film from the display and weighing platform.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Power On/Off

  • Press the ON/OFF button to turn the scale on.
  • Press and hold the ON/OFF button to turn the scale off.

4.2 Unit Conversion

The Fuzion KL7 scale supports 6 different weighing modes:

  • g (grams)
  • oz (ounces)
  • gn (grains)
  • ct (carats)
  • dwt (pennyweights)
  • ozt (troy ounces)

To change the weighing unit, press the MODE button repeatedly until the desired unit is displayed on the LCD screen.

4.3 Tare Function

The Tare function allows you to subtract the weight of a container, so you can measure only the contents.

  1. Place an empty container (e.g., the powder pan) on the weighing platform.
  2. Wait for the display to stabilize.
  3. Press the TARE button. The display will reset to zero.
  4. Add the items you wish to weigh into the container. The display will show the net weight of the items.

4.4 Counting Function (PCS)

The PCS function allows you to count items of uniform weight.

  1. Place a sample quantity of items (e.g., 25, 50, 75, or 100 pieces) on the weighing platform.
  2. Press and hold the PCS button until the display shows a number (e.g., "25").
  3. Press the MODE button to select the sample quantity that matches the number of items you placed on the scale.
  4. Press the PCS button again to confirm. The scale is now in counting mode.
  5. Add more items to the platform, and the display will show the total count of items.

4.5 Calibration

Calibration ensures the accuracy of your scale. It is recommended to calibrate the scale regularly or if you notice any inconsistencies.

  1. Turn the scale ON and wait for the display to show "0.000g".
  2. Press and hold the MODE button until the display shows "CAL".
  3. Press the MODE button again. The display will flash the required calibration weight (e.g., "20.000g" or "50.000g").
  4. Place the corresponding calibration weight (e.g., the included 20g weight) onto the center of the weighing platform.
  5. Wait for the display to show "PASS" and then return to the normal weighing mode with the calibration weight's value displayed. This indicates successful calibration.
  6. Remove the calibration weight. The display should return to "0.000g".

5. Maintenance

Proper care will extend the life and accuracy of your Fuzion KL7 Milligram Scale:

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, slightly damp cloth to clean the scale. Do not use abrasive cleaners, harsh chemicals, or immerse the scale in water.
  • Storage: Store the scale in a clean, dry environment. Keep the protective cover closed when not in use to prevent dust and debris from affecting the weighing mechanism.
  • Avoid Overload: Do not exceed the maximum weight capacity of 50g. Overloading can damage the internal sensor.
