Setup
1. Mounting the Spotlight
The Golight 7951GT features an integrated magnetic shoe for secure, temporary mounting. Ensure the mounting surface is clean, flat, and made of a ferrous material (e.g., steel) to allow the magnet to adhere properly. Avoid mounting on painted surfaces that may be damaged by the magnet or on surfaces that are not strong enough to support the spotlight during vehicle movement.
- Select a suitable, stable, and clean magnetic surface for mounting.
- Carefully place the spotlight unit onto the chosen surface, ensuring full contact of the magnetic base.
- Verify the spotlight is securely attached before proceeding.

2. Power Connection
The spotlight operates on 12V DC power. Connect the integrated 12V accessory plug to a compatible power outlet in your vehicle or power source.
- Locate the 12V accessory power cord extending from the spotlight unit.
- Insert the plug firmly into a 12V accessory outlet.
- Ensure the connection is secure to prevent power interruptions.

3. Remote Control Battery Installation
The wireless remote control comes with two nonstandard batteries pre-installed. If the remote does not respond, check or replace these batteries.
Operating Instructions
The Golight 7951GT is operated using the wireless handheld remote control, which has an effective range of up to 80 feet.

Remote Control Functions:
- Power Button (U): Press to turn the spotlight ON or OFF.
- Directional Arrows: Use the four arrow buttons to control the spotlight's movement:
- Up/Down arrows: Control vertical rotation (135° total).
- Left/Right arrows: Control horizontal rotation (370° total).
- Speed Control (Rabbit/Turtle): These buttons adjust the speed of the spotlight's rotation. The rabbit icon increases speed, and the turtle icon decreases speed.
Spotlight Movement:
The spotlight offers precise control over its beam direction. The 370° horizontal rotation allows for nearly full coverage around the mounting point, while the 135° vertical rotation provides ample adjustment for various viewing angles. The maximum beam distance is 3,113 feet with an intensity of 225,000 Candela.
Maintenance
Cleaning:
To maintain optimal performance and appearance, clean the spotlight housing and lens periodically. Use a soft, damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the plastic components or lens coating.
Bulb Replacement:
The Golight 7951GT uses a halogen bulb. If the light output diminishes or the bulb burns out, it will need to be replaced. Refer to the manufacturer's website or contact support for specific bulb replacement instructions and compatible bulb types.
Remote Control Battery Replacement:
If the remote control's range decreases or it becomes unresponsive, replace the two nonstandard batteries. Open the battery compartment on the back of the remote, remove the old batteries, and insert new ones, ensuring correct polarity. Dispose of old batteries responsibly.
