Troubleshooting
If your device cannot find the Bluetooth keyboard:
- Check Pairing Mode: Ensure the keyboard is in pairing mode. Press Fn + 1/2/3 to select a channel, then press Fn + Tab. The blue LED should blink.
- Check Battery Level: Low battery on either the keyboard or your device can prevent proper operation. Replace the keyboard batteries or fully charge your device.
- Restart Bluetooth/Device: Turn off and then turn on Bluetooth on your device. If the issue persists, restart your device.
- Check for Other Connections: If the keyboard is automatically connected to another device, your current device may not find it. Turn off Bluetooth or power off other devices that might be connected to the keyboard.
- Distance: Bluetooth signal weakens with distance. Keep the keyboard within 1 meter (3 feet) of your device.
- Interference: Metal objects, magnetic fields, or other wireless devices can interfere with Bluetooth signals. Move the keyboard away from such items or turn off unnecessary electronic devices.
- OS Update: Outdated operating systems may have bugs or incompatibilities. Ensure your device's OS is updated to the latest version.
If your device can find Bluetooth but cannot pair:
- Power Cycle Keyboard: Turn the keyboard off and then on again, then attempt pairing.
- Remove Existing Entry: If your device has previously connected to this keyboard, remove the keyboard's entry from your device's Bluetooth history and try pairing again.
- Multi-pairing Conflict: If the keyboard is multi-pairing capable and used with multiple devices, it might be connected to another device. Use Fn + 1/2/3 to switch the keyboard's connection channel to the desired device.
- Check Battery Level: Ensure both the keyboard and your device have sufficient power.
- Device Performance: If your device's memory is full or CPU usage is high, the system may freeze. Uninstall unnecessary applications to free up memory or restart your device.
- Interference: As mentioned above, metal objects or other wireless devices can cause interference.
- Multiple Identical Products: If you have multiple Ewin keyboards, ensure you are pairing with the correct one. Remove all existing entries with the same Bluetooth name from your device's list and then pair with the specific keyboard you intend to use.
If your device can find and pair with the keyboard, but the keyboard is unusable:
Remove the keyboard's entry from your device's Bluetooth settings, turn the keyboard off and on, and then attempt to re-pair.
If the keyboard's Bluetooth connection frequently disconnects:
- Check Battery Level: Low battery on either the keyboard or your device can lead to unstable connections.
- Interference: Metal objects, magnetic fields, or other wireless devices can affect Bluetooth stability. Adjust the environment or move interfering devices.
- Device Performance: High memory or CPU usage on your device can cause system freezes and connection issues. Optimize your device's performance.
- Power Saving Mode: If your device is in power-saving mode, Bluetooth connections may become unstable. Disable power-saving mode.
- Keyboard Auto-Sleep: The keyboard automatically turns off Bluetooth after 10 minutes of inactivity to save power. Press any key to wake it up, and it will automatically reconnect to the last paired device.
