2. Setup: Setting Your Combination
Follow these steps to set your personal 4-digit combination. The factory default combination is 0-0-0-0.
- Align Default Combination: Ensure the lock is set to the factory default combination (0-0-0-0). Align the numbers precisely with the indicator arrows on the side of the lock.
- Open and Rotate Shackle: Pull up the shackle to open the lock. Once open, rotate the shackle 90 degrees counter-clockwise.
- Press and Hold Shackle: While the shackle is rotated, press it down firmly until the small hook on the bottom of the shackle enters the hole. Continue to hold it down.
- Rotate Shackle Again: While holding the shackle down, rotate it another 90 degrees counter-clockwise. The shackle should now be held in this position.
- Set New Combination: With the shackle held in the rotated and pressed position, set your desired 4-digit combination by turning the dials. Make sure the numbers are aligned with the indicator arrows.
- Release and Lock: Once your new combination is set, pull up the shackle to release it from the pressed position, then rotate it back to its original upright position. Push the shackle down to lock it. Scramble the dials to secure your new combination.
Important Note: When setting your new combination, ensure the desired numbers are aligned exactly with the arrows on the side of the lock for proper function.

3. Operating the Lock
To open the lock, rotate the dials to your set 4-digit combination. Once the correct combination is entered, pull up the shackle to release it. To close the lock, push the shackle back down into the lock body and then scramble the dials to secure it. This prevents unauthorized access.

5. Troubleshooting
- Shackle Not Opening/Closing:
Ensure the combination is correctly aligned with the indicator arrows. If you recently reset the combination, double-check that you are using the new combination. Sometimes, the dials might not be perfectly aligned, causing the shackle to stick. Wiggle the shackle gently while entering the combination.
- Difficulty Setting New Combination:
Review the "Setup: Setting Your Combination" section carefully. The most common issue is not pressing the shackle down firmly enough or not rotating it the full 90 degrees in both steps. Ensure the shackle is held securely in the set position while changing the numbers.
- Dials Are Stiff:
Over time, dust or debris might accumulate. Refer to the maintenance section for cleaning tips. A small amount of lubricant can help free up stiff dials.
- Forgot Combination:
Unfortunately, if you forget your combination, there is no master key or override function for these locks. The only way to open it is to try all 10,000 combinations, which is time-consuming. It is highly recommended to record your combination in a secure place.
