3. Setup

3.1 Placement

Place the dehumidifier in a location where the humidity is highest and air circulation is good. Ensure there is at least 8 inches (20 cm) of space around the unit for proper airflow. Avoid placing it against walls or furniture that could obstruct the vents.

3.2 Power Connection

Plug the power cord into a grounded 120V/60Hz electrical outlet. The unit will beep once, and the display will light up briefly.

3.3 Drainage Options

Your Vacplus dehumidifier offers two methods for water removal:

  1. Manual Drainage (Water Tank): The unit collects water in its internal 3.1-liter water tank. When the tank is full, the unit will automatically shut off and an indicator light will illuminate. Carefully remove the tank, empty the water, and reinsert it securely. The tank includes a splash guard to prevent spills.
  2. Continuous Drainage (Hose Connection): For continuous operation without emptying the tank, attach a standard garden hose (not included) to the continuous drainage port at the back of the unit. Ensure the hose is sloped downwards to allow gravity to drain the water to a floor drain or suitable receptacle.
