5. Setup Guide

5.1. Charging the Microphone

Before first use, fully charge the microphone. The built-in 1800mAh rechargeable battery typically takes about 4 hours to fully charge.

  1. Connect the Micro USB cable to the Charging Port (5V) on the microphone.
  2. Connect the other end of the USB cable to a 5V/1A or 5V/2A USB power adapter (not included), a computer USB port, or a power bank.
  3. The indicator light will show charging status. Disconnect the device once fully charged to prevent over-heating.

5.2. Powering On/Off

Long press the Power Button (usually located near the base of the microphone head) to turn the microphone ON or OFF.

5.3. Bluetooth Connection

The microphone is designed for easy wireless connection to your smart devices.

  1. Turn on the microphone. It will automatically enter Bluetooth pairing mode, indicated by a voice prompt "Bluetooth device is ready to pair."
  2. On your smart device (phone, tablet, PC), go to Bluetooth settings and search for "WS-858" or "KIDWILL Mic".

6.1. Singing and Karaoke

  • Connect your device via Bluetooth (as per Section 5.3).
  • Open your favorite music app (e.g., YouTube, Spotify, Yokee Plano, Smule Karaoke) and select a song.
  • Adjust the music volume using the VOL+/- buttons and your microphone volume using MIC VOL+/-.
  • Use the REMIX slider to add or reduce echo effect for a more professional karaoke experience.

6.2. Voice Changing Effects

The microphone offers 5 voice-changed effects for entertainment:

To activate and cycle through these effects, long press the REC button.

6.3. Recording Function

To record your singing, you will need a TF (Micro SD) card inserted into the TF Card Port.

  1. Ensure a TF card (max 32GB) is inserted.
  2. Short press the REC button to start recording.
  3. Short press the REC button again to stop recording.
  4. Recordings are saved to the TF card.

6.4. FM Radio Mode

The microphone can also function as an FM radio.

  1. Short press the Power Button to cycle through modes until you hear "FM Radio Mode".
  2. Long press the SCAN button to automatically scan and save available FM radio stations.
  3. Use the PREV and NEXT buttons to switch between saved stations.
