1. Introduction

The TOAUTO 3KG Gold Melting Furnace TGF3000 is a digital electric melting furnace designed for melting various metals such as gold, silver, copper, and aluminum. It features a 1400W heating element, reaching a maximum temperature of 1100°C (2000°F), allowing metals to melt completely within 45-60 minutes. This furnace is equipped with an advanced PID module for precise temperature control and comes with a grooved graphite crucible for easy handling. 2. Safety Information

WARNING: Failure to follow these safety instructions may result in serious injury or property damage.

  • The furnace must be used outdoors and in an open, well-ventilated environment.
  • It is forbidden to use the furnace in crowded places. Keep people, houses, pets, and plants away from the operating area.
  • A fire extinguisher must be within 2 meters of the product. Irrelevant personnel are prohibited from approaching during operation.
  • Before each use, check the machine for any malfunctions, rows, or cracks in the crucible. If any are found, stop use immediately.
  • The surface of the machine reaches high temperatures during operation. Always take protective measures against high-temperature burns.
  • Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including high-temperature gloves, safety helmets, and high-temperature masks.
  • Do not allow water to come into contact with the furnace or molten metal during operation.
  • Never add anything to the molten metal while the machine is working.
  • It is forbidden to cool down the product and crucible quickly after use. Allow them to cool naturally.
  • Preheat the crucible in advance before pouring molten metal.
  • Gas is generated during the smelting process, which can increase pressure and pose a danger. If the furnace chamber is full of gas, open the lid to release it before continuing to smelt.
  • Do not fill the crucible beyond 70% of its maximum capacity.

4. Setup

  1. Unpack Components: Carefully remove all items from the packaging. Inspect for any damage.
  2. Placement: Place the furnace on a stable, level, and heat-resistant surface in a well-ventilated outdoor area, away from flammable materials.
  3. Insert Crucible: Open the furnace lid and carefully place the graphite crucible into the heating chamber.
  4. Connect Power: Connect the power cord to the furnace and then to a suitable 110V power outlet. Ensure the outlet can handle the 1400W power requirement.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Power On and Temperature Setting

  1. Turn On: Flip the red power switch to the 'ON' position. The digital display will illuminate.
  2. Set Temperature:
    • Press the SET button on the temperature controller. The green display number is the set temperature value.
    • Use the green arrow buttons (up/down) to adjust the desired melting temperature. For example, copper melts around 1084°C.
    • Press SET once more to confirm and save the new temperature setting. The furnace will begin heating to the set temperature.
  3. Preheating (First Use): For the first use, preheat the furnace to 300-500°C for 3-5 minutes to cure the internal components.

5.2. Melting Process

  1. Load Metal: Once the furnace reaches the desired temperature, carefully place the metal pieces into the graphite crucible using appropriate tools. Close the furnace lid.
  2. Monitor Melting: The furnace will maintain the set temperature. Metals typically melt completely within 45-60 minutes, depending on the type and quantity.
  3. Preheat Mold: While the metal is melting, preheat your graphite ingot mold to 300-500°C using a torch or other heating equipment. This prevents thermal shock and ensures a smooth pour.

5.3. Pouring and Cooling

  1. Remove Crucible: Once the metal is molten, use the provided crucible tongs to carefully remove the hot crucible from the furnace.
  2. Pour Metal: Slowly and steadily pour the molten metal into the preheated graphite ingot mold.
  3. Cool Down: Allow the cast metal and the crucible to cool down naturally. Do not attempt to cool them rapidly with water, as this can cause damage or injury.

6. Maintenance

  • Crucible Inspection: Regularly inspect the graphite crucible for any signs of wear, cracks, or damage. A damaged crucible can compromise safety and melting efficiency. Replace the crucible if any damage is observed.
  • Cleaning: Keep the exterior of the furnace clean and free from dust and debris. Ensure no metal spills or residues accumulate around the heating chamber.
  • Storage: When not in use, store the TOAUTO 3KG Gold Melting Furnace in a dry, cool, and safe location, away from moisture and direct sunlight.
