2. Safety Instructions

  • Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (e.g., safety glasses, gloves) during installation.
  • Ensure the mounting surface (wall) is structurally sound and capable of supporting the door's weight (approximately 36 kg).
  • Keep children and pets away from the work area during installation.
  • Use only the provided mounting hardware or suitable alternatives that meet safety standards.
  • Do not modify the product in any way that is not described in this manual.
  • Exercise caution when handling the door leaf to prevent injury or damage.

3. Package Contents

Before starting the installation, verify that all components are present and undamaged:

  • White Wooden Door Leaf (88x203 cm)
  • Aluminum Rail System (can be individually shortened)
  • Square Handle Set
  • Floor Guide Pin
  • Wall Spacing Profile (for 16 mm bridging, achieving 21 mm wall distance)
  • Double Soft-Close Mechanism
  • Complete Mounting Hardware (screws, anchors, etc.)

4. Setup and Installation

4.1 Required Tools

  • Phillips Head Screwdriver
  • 4 mm Allen Key
  • Drill with 6 mm and 10 mm drill bits
  • Measuring Tape, Level, Pencil

4.2 Wall Distance Considerations

The standard distance between the door and the wall is 5 mm. If you have a door frame, skirting board, or electrical socket that requires more clearance, use the included wall spacing profile. This profile bridges 16 mm, resulting in a total wall distance of 21 mm, allowing the door to slide past obstacles.

4.3 Rail System Installation

  1. Determine the desired height for the rail. The total height of the door and rail system is approximately 2095 mm.
  2. Mark the drilling points on the wall using a level to ensure the rail is perfectly horizontal.
  3. Drill holes at the marked points and insert appropriate wall anchors.
  4. Attach the aluminum rail system to the wall using the provided screws. Ensure it is securely fastened. The rail can be shortened if necessary to fit your specific opening width.

4.4 Door Leaf and Handle Installation

  1. Attach the rollers to the top edge of the door leaf according to the pre-drilled holes.
  2. Carefully lift the door leaf and hook the rollers into the rail system.
  3. Install the square handle set onto the door leaf.

4.5 Floor Guide Pin Installation

  1. Position the floor guide pin directly below the center of the door's bottom edge when the door is in its closed position.
  2. Mark the drilling points for the floor guide pin.
  3. Drill holes and secure the floor guide pin to the floor. This prevents the door from swinging.

4.6 Soft-Close Mechanism Installation

The double soft-close mechanism ensures the door brakes gently before reaching its end position and slides smoothly into place. It can be installed to function in either the opening or closing direction, or both if a double soft-close system is provided.

  1. Refer to the specific soft-close instructions provided with the mechanism for precise placement.
  2. Typically, the soft-close units are installed inside the rail at the desired stopping points.
  3. Test the soft-close function after installation to ensure proper engagement and smooth operation. Adjust as needed.

5. Operating the Sliding Door

To open or close the door, gently push or pull the handle. The door will glide smoothly along the aluminum rail. The integrated soft-close mechanism will engage as the door approaches its fully open or closed position, slowing it down and guiding it quietly into place. Avoid forcing the door, especially against the soft-close mechanism.

6. Maintenance and Care

6.1 Cleaning

The door leaf features a melamine resin coating, making it easy to clean and highly scratch-resistant. Use a soft, damp cloth and mild detergent to wipe down the door surface. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the finish.

6.2 Rail and Rollers

The ball bearings in the rollers are maintenance-free. Periodically inspect the rail for any dust or debris that might hinder smooth operation. Clean the rail with a dry cloth or a vacuum cleaner nozzle if necessary.

7. Troubleshooting

  • Door does not slide smoothly: Check the rail for obstructions or debris. Ensure the rollers are properly seated in the rail. Verify the rail is level.
  • Soft-close not engaging or working incorrectly: Ensure the soft-close mechanism is correctly positioned and securely installed according to its specific instructions. Adjust its position if needed.
  • Door wobbles: Check that the floor guide pin is securely fastened and properly aligned with the groove at the bottom of the door.
  • Rail cover not staying in place: Ensure the end caps are securely attached, as they often help hold the cover in position.
