4. Setup and Installation
4.1 Isofix Installation (Group 1/2/3)
The Nania IMAX Isofix car seat must be installed forward-facing using the vehicle's Isofix anchor points. For enhanced stability, especially for Group 1, the Top Tether should also be used.
- Locate the Isofix anchor points in your vehicle. These are usually found between the seat back and cushion.
- Extend the Isofix connectors from the car seat by pressing the release buttons (if applicable) and pulling them out.
- Align the Isofix connectors with the vehicle's anchor points and push the car seat firmly until you hear a 'click' and the indicators turn green (if present).
- Push the car seat firmly against the vehicle's seat back to ensure a tight fit.
- For Group 1 (9-18kg), attach the Top Tether strap to the designated anchor point in your vehicle (usually behind the rear seat or in the boot) and tighten it until taut.

4.2 Securing the Child (9-22 kg) - 5-Point Harness
For children weighing 9 to 22 kg, use the integrated 5-point harness system.
- Place your child in the car seat.
- Bring the shoulder straps over your child's shoulders and the waist straps between their legs.
- Connect the two buckle tongues and insert them into the central buckle until you hear a 'click'.
- Pull the harness adjustment strap to tighten the harness until it is snug against your child's body, ensuring no more than two fingers can fit between the strap and your child's collarbone.
- Ensure the shoulder straps are at or just above your child's shoulders. Adjust the headrest height if necessary.

4.3 Securing the Child (15-36 kg) - Vehicle's 3-Point Seat Belt
For children weighing 15 to 36 kg, the integrated 5-point harness must be removed. The child is then secured directly by the vehicle's 3-point seat belt.
- Remove the 5-point harness system from the car seat (refer to the specific instructions for harness removal, usually found in a label on the seat).
- Place your child in the car seat.
- Guide the vehicle's 3-point seat belt through the designated red guides on the car seat. The lap belt should pass under the armrests and through the red guide at the child's hips. The diagonal shoulder belt should pass through the red guide near the headrest.
- Buckle the vehicle's seat belt.
- Ensure the shoulder belt rests centrally on your child's shoulder and chest, not on the neck. The lap belt should be low across the hips, not on the stomach.

5.1 Headrest Adjustment
The headrest can be adjusted to 4 different height positions to ensure optimal protection and comfort as your child grows.
- Locate the headrest adjustment lever, typically at the top or back of the headrest.
- Squeeze the lever and simultaneously pull the headrest upwards or push it downwards to the desired position.
- Release the lever to lock the headrest in place. Ensure it is securely locked before placing your child in the seat.

6. Maintenance
6.1 Cleaning the Cover
The car seat cover is removable and can be hand-washed. Follow these steps:
- Carefully remove the fabric cover from the car seat frame.
- Hand wash the cover using mild soap and cold water. Do not bleach, tumble dry, or iron.
- Allow the cover to air dry completely before reattaching it to the car seat.
- Ensure the cover is correctly reattached and all harness straps pass through the correct slots.
6.2 Cleaning the Plastic Parts
The plastic parts of the car seat can be cleaned with a damp cloth and mild soap. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your Nania IMAX Isofix Car Seat, please review the following common concerns:
- Car seat feels loose after installation: Ensure the Isofix connectors are fully engaged (green indicators visible) and pushed firmly against the vehicle seat. If using the Top Tether, ensure it is taut. For 3-point belt installation, pull the vehicle belt tight.
- Harness is difficult to adjust or tighten: Check that the harness straps are not twisted or caught under the seat cover. Ensure the harness adjustment strap moves freely.
- Buckle not clicking: Verify that both buckle tongues are correctly aligned before inserting them into the central buckle. Ensure no debris is obstructing the buckle mechanism.
If problems persist, please refer to the detailed installation diagrams or contact customer support.
