Setup and Installation
Before you begin, ensure your door meets the following specifications:
- Door Thickness: 1.5 inch - 2 inch (38mm-50mm)
- Door Edge Clearance: > 105mm
- Door Type: Wooden doors, Right/Left hand compatible.
Most doors come pre-drilled with a 2 1/8" lock body hole, a 1" lock cylinder hole, and a 5/64" strike plate mortise. If your door is not pre-drilled, you will need appropriate tools (hole saw, spade bit, power drill, hammer, chisel) to create the necessary openings. Use the included template as a guide.
Installation Video Guide:

Step-by-Step Installation:
- Prepare the Door: Ensure any existing doorknob is in the unlocked position to prevent accidental lockout.
- Install Deadbolt Assembly: Insert the deadbolt and faceplate assembly into the door edge opening. Ensure the "up" marking on the deadbolt is facing upwards. Secure it with the two included faceplate screws.
- Attach Outside Housing: Slide the outside housing onto the exterior face of the door, ensuring the tailpiece aligns properly with the cam slot in the deadbolt.
- Slide on Mounting Plate: Slide the mounting plate onto the interior side of the door. Feed the tailpiece and wiring harness through the appropriate openings. Secure the mounting plate to the exterior housing using the two long screws. Test the deadbolt operation with a key to ensure smooth movement.
- Adjust Handing (if necessary): Determine if your door is left-handed or right-handed by observing which side the hinges are on when the door swings inward. Adjust the L/R switch on the interior housing accordingly. For left-handed doors, the thumb turn should be horizontal when the deadbolt is extended. For right-handed doors, it should be vertical.
- Connect Wiring and Attach Interior Housing: With the battery cover removed from the interior housing, connect the wiring harness. Feed the wiring harness through the slot into the body of the assembly. Slide on the interior housing, ensuring the thumb screw turns smoothly, indicating proper lock installation. Secure the housing with the four screws: two just below the battery tray, one at the top, and one at the bottom.
- Install Batteries and Strike Plate: Insert four AA batteries into the battery tray and reattach the battery cover. Attach the strike plate and dust box to the door frame with the included screws.
- Final Test: Use the key to test the lock's functionality. Ensure the door opens and closes smoothly, and that the lock easily locks and unlocks using the thumb turn when the door is closed.

- When the low battery indicator appears, replace all four AA batteries promptly.
- Ensure correct polarity when inserting new batteries.
Emergency Power Supply:
If the batteries are completely drained, you can jump-start the lock using an external DC5V USB power bank.

Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Lock does not respond or power on. | Drained batteries. | Replace all 4 AA batteries. Use an external USB power bank for emergency jump-start. |
| Fingerprint not recognized. | Finger not placed correctly; unregistered fingerprint; dirty sensor. | Ensure finger covers the entire sensor. Try re-registering the fingerprint. Clean the sensor with a soft cloth. |
| Keypad does not respond. | Low battery; keypad in lockout mode. | Replace batteries. If in lockout mode (after 5 invalid code attempts), wait 5 minutes before trying again. |
| Deadbolt does not extend/retract smoothly. | Misalignment during installation; loose screws. | Check installation steps, especially deadbolt alignment and screw tightness. Ensure door frame strike plate is correctly aligned. |
| Lock is beeping constantly. | Low battery warning; tamper alert. | Check battery level and replace if low. Investigate if there was an attempt to tamper with the lock. |
