Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for the UBay replacement remote control, designed for seamless compatibility with ONN ONC18TV001 series televisions. This remote offers full access to all essential functions without the need for complex programming.

Setup

Battery Installation

The remote control requires two (2) AAA 1.5V batteries (not included). Follow these steps to install them:

1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the remote control.
2. Slide open the battery cover.
3. Insert two AAA batteries, ensuring the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals align correctly with the markings inside the compartment.
4. Close the battery cover securely.

No programming or pairing is required. The remote is ready to use once batteries are installed.

Operating Instructions

This replacement remote control provides full functionality for your ONN ONC18TV001 TV. Simply point the remote at the TV's infrared sensor and press the desired button.

Key Functions:

• Power Button: Turns the TV on or off.
• Input Button: Cycles through available input sources (HDMI, AV, etc.).
• Navigation Pad (Up, Down, Left, Right) & OK: Used for menu navigation and selection.
• VOL +/-: Adjusts the volume level.
• CH +/-: Changes the channel.
• MUTE: Mutes or unmutes the TV audio.
• BACK: Returns to the previous screen or menu.
• EXIT: Exits the current menu or application.

• Number Buttons (0-9): Directly enter channel numbers.

• SAP/MTS: Selects Secondary Audio Program/Multi-channel Television Sound.
• CC: Toggles Closed Captions on/off.
• TTS: Toggles Text-to-Speech function.
• SLEEP TIMER: Sets a timer for the TV to turn off automatically.

Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your remote control, please follow these maintenance guidelines:

Troubleshooting

If your remote control is not functioning as expected, try the following steps to resolve common issues:

1. Remove Obstacles: Ensure there are no objects blocking the line of sight between the remote control and the TV's infrared sensor. Most TVs have the remote sensor in the lower left or lower right corner.
2. Test New Batteries: Insert fresh, new batteries into the remote control. Double-check that the positive (+) and negative (-) ends are installed in the correct direction.
3. Power Cycle the Remote:
   • Remove the batteries from the remote control.
   • Press each button on the remote control at least once to drain any residual power. This also helps to check for stuck buttons.
   • Reinsert the batteries into the remote control.
4. Power Cycle the TV: If the above steps do not work, try power cycling your TV:
   • Unplug the TV from the power outlet.
   • Press and hold the TV's power button (on the TV itself, not the remote) for five seconds.
   • Plug the TV back into the power outlet and turn it on.
