2. Submersible Use

  • Place the pump entirely into the water, ensuring it is fully submerged.
  • The four strong suction cups on the base of the pump can be used to secure it firmly to the bottom or side of your tank or pond, minimizing vibration and noise.
  • Connect the power cord to a suitable electrical outlet.

3. Inline (External) Use

  • Before connecting the power, ensure water is poured into the pump to prime it.
  • Connect your water pipes to both the inlet and outlet nozzles.
  • Position the pump on a stable, level surface. The suction cups can help prevent movement.
  • Connect the power cord to a suitable electrical outlet.

Maintenance

Cleaning the Pump

Regular cleaning is essential to maintain the pump's efficiency and extend its lifespan. The pump is designed for easy disassembly without the need for special tools.

  1. Disconnect Power: Always unplug the pump from the electrical outlet before cleaning.
  2. Detach Components: Carefully detach the front cover, impeller cover, and then the impeller/rotor assembly from the main body.
  3. Clean Parts: Rinse all components under clean water. Use a soft brush or cloth to remove any accumulated debris, algae, or mineral deposits from the impeller, impeller housing, and filter.
  4. Inspect: Check the ceramic shaft and bearing for any signs of wear or damage.
  5. Reassemble: Once all parts are clean and dry, reassemble the pump in reverse order. Ensure all components are securely fitted.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your pump, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • Pump Not Starting:
    • Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into a working electrical outlet.
    • Check for any power outages or tripped circuit breakers.
    • Inspect the power cord for damage. If damaged, discontinue use.
  • Reduced Water Flow:
    • Clean the pump, especially the impeller and filter, as debris can restrict flow.
    • Check for kinks or blockages in the connected hoses or nozzles.
    • Ensure the flow adjustment knob is set to the desired level.
    • For submersible use, ensure the pump is fully submerged. For inline use, ensure it is properly primed.
  • Excessive Noise or Vibration:
    • Clean the impeller and impeller housing; foreign objects can cause noise.
    • Ensure the pump is placed on a stable surface and the suction cups are properly engaged.
    • Check if the impeller is damaged or worn.
