1. Introduction

The XTRONS 4K Wireless Display Adapter (Model HDTV05) allows you to wirelessly cast content from your smartphone or tablet to a larger screen, such as a TV, monitor, or projector. It supports 4K resolution output and is compatible with both Airplay (for iOS devices) and Miracast (for Android devices).

2. Package Contents

Please verify that all items are present in your package:

• 1 x Screen Mirroring Adapter (HDTV05)
• 1 x USB Cable (with integrated WiFi receiver)

3. Setup Instructions

NOTE: The HDTV05 does NOT support streaming from encrypted video apps such as Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Hulu, Comcast TV, or DIRECTV due to third-party software sharing restrictions.

3.1 Initial Connection Steps (Common to All Devices)

1. Connect the WiFi Antenna (micro USB head) to the HDTV05 adapter.
2. Plug the HDTV05 adapter into an available HDMI port on your HD monitor, TV, or projector.
3. Switch your HD monitor/TV/projector to the correct HDMI input source.
4. Plug the USB cable into an external USB power adapter (not included) or a USB port on your display device that provides sufficient power.
5. The HD monitor will display the setup page, showing the SSID and password for the adapter's WiFi network.

3.2 For Android Devices (Miracast Connection)

6. On your Android device, locate and select the screen mirroring function (often named Miracast, Wireless Display, SmartView, or Screen Mirroring).
7. From the list of available devices, select the SSID name displayed on your HD monitor.
8. Your Android device screen should now be mirrored on the connected display.

3.3 For iOS Devices (Airplay Connection)

6. Open your iOS device's camera and scan the first QR code displayed on the setup page.
7. When a pop-up appears, click "Join" to connect to the adapter's WiFi network.
8. Turn on Airplay on your iOS device and select the HDTV05's SSID (as shown on the setup page).
9. Your iOS device screen should now be mirrored on the connected display.

3.4 For iOS Devices (Airplay Connection with DLNA for Home Wi-Fi)

6. Follow steps 1-5 from Section 3.1.
7. Open your iOS device's camera and scan the first QR code displayed on the setup page.
8. When a pop-up appears, click "Join" to connect to the adapter's WiFi network.
9. Wait approximately 3 seconds until the second QR code appears. Scan this second QR code and click the subsequent pop-up.
10. Safari will open automatically. Select your home Wi-Fi network (not the adapter's SSID) and enter its password.
11. Turn on Airplay on your iOS device and select the HDTV05's SSID (as shown on the setup page).
12. Your iOS device screen should now be mirrored on the connected display, utilizing your home Wi-Fi for internet access.

4. Operating Instructions

Once connected, the XTRONS 4K Wireless Display Adapter will mirror your device's screen to the larger display. Any content displayed on your smartphone or tablet will be shown on the connected TV, monitor, or projector.

You can share various types of content, including:

5. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your XTRONS 4K Wireless Display Adapter, please refer to the following common solutions:

• No Display/Black Screen: Ensure the adapter is securely plugged into the HDMI port and the display device is set to the correct HDMI input. Verify the USB power cable is connected to a sufficient power source.
• Connection Failure: Double-check that you have selected the correct SSID for the adapter on your mobile device. For iOS, ensure Airplay is activated. For Android, confirm Miracast/Wireless Display is enabled.
• Lagging/Choppy Video: Ensure your mobile device is within close proximity to the adapter for optimal signal strength. If using DLNA mode, check the stability and speed of your home Wi-Fi network.
• Unsupported Apps: Remember that the adapter does not support content from encrypted streaming services like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Hulu, Comcast TV, or DIRECTV. This is a software limitation due to content protection.
• No Audio: Verify that the audio output on your display device is correctly configured and not muted.
