2. Product Features

• Enhanced Functions: This timer is developed for studying. Count-up and count-down functions are available. This study timer can measure up to 199 hours, 59 minutes, and 59 seconds. Perfect for managing study time or playing games.
• Measurable Up to 1/100 Seconds: This timer can be used as a stopwatch. The unit of measurement is 1/100 seconds. Versatile, convenient timer which can be used for time trial games as well as during study.
• Countdown Till Day X: Use the day timer function to display how many days are left until a scheduled event. Set an exam date or an important day so you don’t forget them. This feature can also serve as a motivational tool.
• Notification with Lights and Beeps: Notifies with red lights and beeps when the designated time is up. Select beeping time between 1 second, 15 seconds, and a silent mode, which is handy in quiet environments.

4. Component Identification

1. START/STOP Button: Large button at the top for starting and stopping timing functions.

5. Battery Installation

The dretec Learning Timer requires 2 AAA batteries. A starter battery is included with your purchase.

1. Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the timer.
2. Slide the cover open.
3. Insert 2 AAA batteries, ensuring the correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

Note: When replacing batteries, you may need to reset the date and time if you use the day count feature.

6. Basic Operation

6.1. Mode Selection

Use the MODE switch on the left side of the timer to select the desired function:

• Timer Mode: For count-down and count-up functions.
• Stopwatch Mode: For precise timing up to 1/100 seconds.
• Clock Mode: Displays the current time.
• Day Count Mode: Displays days remaining until a set date.

6.2. Setting the Clock (Current Time)

1. Slide the MODE switch to Clock Mode.
2. Press and hold the SET button until the hour digits begin to flash.
3. Use the UP or DOWN buttons to adjust the hour.
4. Press SET to move to the minute setting, then use UP or DOWN to adjust.
5. Press SET again to confirm and exit setting mode.

6.3. Count-down Timer

1. Slide the MODE switch to Timer Mode.
2. Use the HOUR, MIN, and SEC buttons to set the desired countdown time.
3. Press the large START/STOP button to begin the countdown.
4. To pause, press START/STOP again. Press again to resume.
5. When the countdown reaches zero, the alarm will sound, and the red lamp will flash.
6. Press any button to stop the alarm.

6.4. Count-up Timer

1. Slide the MODE switch to Timer Mode.
2. Ensure the display shows "00:00:00". If not, press the RESET button.
3. Press the large START/STOP button to begin counting up.
4. To pause, press START/STOP again. Press again to resume.
5. To reset the count, press the RESET button.

6.5. Stopwatch Function

The stopwatch measures time in 1/100 second increments.

1. Slide the MODE switch to Stopwatch Mode.
2. Ensure the display shows "00:00.00". If not, press the RESET button.
3. Press the large START/STOP button to begin timing.
4. To pause, press START/STOP again. Press again to resume.
5. To reset the stopwatch, press the RESET button.

6.6. Day Count Function

This function counts down the number of days until a specified target date.

1. Slide the MODE switch to Day Count Mode.
2. Press and hold the SET button until the date digits begin to flash.
3. Use the UP or DOWN buttons to adjust the month, then press SET.
4. Adjust the day, then press SET.
5. Adjust the year, then press SET to confirm.
6. The display will now show the number of days remaining until the set date.

7.1. Notification Settings (Alarm and Lamp)

The timer provides both audible beeps and a visual red lamp notification when a countdown ends.

1. Locate the Volume Switch on the right side of the timer.
2. Slide the switch to select your preferred notification setting:
   • 1 Second Beep: A short beep sound.
   • 15 Second Beep: A longer beep sound.
   • Silent Mode: Only the red lamp will flash, with no audible sound. Ideal for quiet environments.

7.2. Key Lock Function

1. Locate the Key Lock Switch on the right side of the timer.
