Follow these steps before using your air fryer for the first time:
- Unpack: Carefully remove all packaging materials, stickers, and labels from the appliance.

- Placement: Place the air fryer on a stable, level, and heat-resistant surface. Ensure there is at least 10 cm of free space on the back and sides, and 10 cm above the appliance to allow for proper ventilation. Do not place it against a wall or other appliances.
- Initial Run (Optional but Recommended): For the first use, it is recommended to run the air fryer empty for about 10 minutes at 200°C to eliminate any manufacturing odors. A slight smell may be present, which is normal and will dissipate. Ensure the area is well-ventilated during this process.
5. Operating Instructions
Operating your Uten Air Fryer is straightforward:
- Prepare Food: Place the crisper plate inside the frying basket. Place your ingredients into the frying basket. Do not overfill the basket to ensure even cooking.
- Insert Basket: Slide the frying basket back into the main unit until it clicks securely into place.
- Set Temperature: Turn the control knob to set the desired cooking temperature, ranging from 80°C to 200°C.
- Set Time: Turn the control knob to set the desired cooking time, ranging from 0 to 60 minutes. The air fryer will automatically begin heating once the timer is set.
- Preheating (Optional): For best results, preheat the air fryer for 3-5 minutes at the desired temperature before adding food. Adjust the cooking time accordingly.
- Shaking/Flipping: For some foods, especially smaller items like fries or chicken wings, it is recommended to shake or flip the contents of the basket halfway through the cooking time to ensure even browning. Carefully pull out the basket, shake, and reinsert. The air fryer will pause and resume cooking once the basket is reinserted.
- Completion: The timer will ring when the set cooking time has elapsed. Carefully pull out the frying basket and check if the food is cooked to your preference.
- Serve: Use tongs to remove the cooked food from the basket. Avoid tipping the basket directly to prevent excess oil from dripping onto the food.
Your air fryer comes with 32 recipe books to help you get started with various dishes, from crispy fries to succulent chicken and even cakes.

7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your air fryer, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Air fryer does not turn on. | Not plugged in; power outlet issue; timer not set. | Ensure the appliance is securely plugged into a working power outlet. Turn the timer knob to the desired cooking time. |
| Food is not cooked evenly. | Basket overloaded; food not shaken/flipped. | Do not overload the basket. Shake or flip ingredients halfway through cooking. |
| White smoke coming from the appliance. | Grease residue from previous use; fatty ingredients. | Clean the basket and crisper plate thoroughly after each use. For fatty foods, consider draining excess fat during cooking. |
| Food is not crispy. | Too much moisture; insufficient oil (for some foods). | Pat food dry before air frying. A light coating of oil can help achieve crispiness for certain items. Ensure proper temperature and cooking time. |
