  • Disconnect Power: Always disconnect the power supply before cleaning, adjusting, or performing maintenance on the mower.

5. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your lawn mower.

5.1 Cleaning the Mower

  • Always disconnect the power supply before cleaning.
  • After each use, clean the underside of the mower deck and the grass collection box to prevent grass buildup. Use a brush or scraper; avoid using water jets directly on electrical components.
  • Wipe down the exterior surfaces with a damp cloth.

5.2 Blade Care

A sharp blade is crucial for a clean cut and efficient operation. Inspect the blade regularly for wear, damage, or dullness. If the blade is damaged or excessively dull, it should be sharpened or replaced by a Stihl authorized service center. Never attempt to sharpen or replace the blade without disconnecting the power and wearing appropriate protective gloves.
