Setup and Installation

Follow these steps for proper installation of your workstation. It is recommended to have a second person assist during certain stages of installation.

1. Wall Mounting the Pole

  1. Choose Location: Select a suitable wall location. The workstation must be mounted to wood studs or solid concrete.
  2. Install Base Bracket: Use a level to position the base support bracket. Mark the drill points. Drill pilot holes and insert drywall anchors if applicable (for concrete, use appropriate anchors). Secure the base bracket with screws and washers.
  3. Attach Mounting Pole: Attach the main mounting pole to the secured base support bracket.
  4. Install Top Bracket: Insert the top support bracket onto the pole. Use a level to ensure it is straight. Mark and drill pilot holes, then secure with screws and washers.

2. Attaching Components

  1. Attach Arms: Slide the cable management clips, keyboard arm, and monitor arm onto the main pole in the desired order.
  2. Attach Keyboard Tray: Secure the foldable keyboard tray to the keyboard arm using the provided screws.
  3. Prepare Monitor: Attach the VESA plate to the back of your monitor using the appropriate screws.
  4. Mount Monitor: Carefully attach the monitor (with VESA plate) to the monitor arm. Hand-tighten to ensure it is secure.

3. Installing CPU Holder

  1. Position CPU Holder: Place the CPU holder on the wall at your desired height and mark the pilot holes.
  2. Secure CPU Holder: Drill pilot holes, insert drywall anchors (if applicable), and secure the CPU holder to the wall using screws and washers.
  3. Mount CPU: Place your CPU into the holder and secure it with the provided safety straps.

4. Cable Management

Route all monitor, keyboard, mouse, and CPU cables through the integrated cable management clips on the arms and pole to maintain a tidy workspace.

Operating Instructions

The Mount-It! workstation offers full motion and height adjustment for optimal ergonomic positioning.

Height Adjustment (Gas Spring)

The gas spring arm allows for smooth vertical movement. To adjust the height, gently push or pull the monitor arm to the desired position. The arm will hold its position once released.

Adjusting Gas Spring Tension: If the monitor arm is too stiff or too loose (monitor drops), adjust the gas spring tension using the provided Allen wrench. Turn counter-clockwise for heavier monitors (to increase tension) and clockwise for lighter monitors (to decrease tension.

Monitor Positioning (Tilt, Swivel, Rotation)

  • Tilt: The monitor can be tilted ±35° to reduce glare and optimize viewing angles.
  • Swivel: Swivel the monitor 180° horizontally to share your screen or adjust your viewing position.
  • Rotation: Rotate the monitor 180° to switch between landscape and portrait orientation as needed.

Keyboard Tray Usage

The keyboard tray can be folded upward when not in use to save space. Simply lift the tray until it locks into its vertical position. To lower, release the locking mechanism and gently pull down.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
  • Periodic Checks: Regularly check all screws and connections to ensure they remain tight and secure.
  • Gas Spring Adjustment: Re-adjust the gas spring tension if you notice the monitor arm sagging or becoming too difficult to move.

Troubleshooting
