2. Setup

2.1. Battery Installation

  1. Open the battery compartment cover located on the back of the device.
  2. Insert two AAA batteries into the compartment, ensuring correct polarity (+ and -).
  3. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

2.2. Attaching the Lanyard

The device comes with a lanyard for easy carrying and to prevent loss. Follow these steps to attach it:

  1. Insert the loop of the lanyard into the lanyard holes on the device.
  2. Thread the lanyard strap through the loop.
  3. Pull the lanyard strap until it is tight and secured.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1. Taking a Measurement

  1. Insert one of your fingers completely into the rubber opening of the oximeter with the nail surface upward.
  2. Press the power button on the front panel to turn on the oximeter.
  3. Keep your hand still during the measurement. Movement can affect accuracy.
  4. Read the measured data from the display screen. The SpO2 (blood oxygen saturation) and PRbpm (pulse rate) values will be shown. The Plethysmograph waveform and Perfusion Index (PI) will also be displayed.
  5. The device will automatically power off after approximately 8 seconds if no finger is detected, conserving battery life.

The display orientation can be changed by briefly pressing the power button while the device is on. This allows for viewing the readings from different angles. To clean the oximeter, wipe the surface with a soft cloth dampened with medical alcohol (70% isopropyl alcohol). Do not immerse the device in water or any cleaning solution. Ensure the device is completely dry before reuse.

When the battery indicator on the display shows low power, replace the batteries promptly to ensure accurate readings. Follow the battery installation steps in Section 2.1.

4.3. Storage

Store the oximeter in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, and humidity. If the device will not be used for an extended period, remove the batteries to prevent leakage and damage.
