Setup

1. Identify the Port: Locate the 2.5mm remote control terminal on your Sigma fp Digital Camera. This port is typically found on the side of the camera body.
2. Connect the Cable: Insert the 2.5mm jack of the CR-41 cable release firmly into the remote control terminal of your Sigma fp camera. Ensure a secure connection.

Operating Instructions

Basic Shutter Release

• Full-Press for Shutter: Press the shutter button fully down to trigger the camera's shutter and capture an image.

Long Exposure / Bulb Mode Operation

• Activate Bulb Mode: Set your Sigma fp camera to Bulb mode (if available) or a suitable long exposure setting.
• Press and Lock: Press the shutter button on the CR-41 fully down and then slide the "LOCK" switch (if present) to the locked position. This will keep the shutter open for the duration of your desired exposure.
• Release Lock: To end the exposure, slide the "LOCK" switch back to the unlocked position. The shutter will close.

Tip: Using the cable release helps prevent camera shake, which is critical for sharp images, especially during long exposures or when using telephoto lenses.

Maintenance

• Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the surface of the cable release. Do not use liquid cleaners or solvents, as they may damage the unit.
• Storage: Store the CR-41 in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Avoid tangling the cable to prevent damage.
