Maintenance

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Charger not powering on / No indicator lights
  • USB cable not fully inserted.
  • USB power source is insufficient or faulty.
  • Charger or cable damage.
  • Ensure the USB-A cable is securely connected to both the charger and the power source.
  • Try a different USB power source (e.g., a different wall adapter or a different USB port). Ensure the power source provides at least 5V 2.2A.
  • Inspect the charger and cable for any visible damage. If damaged, discontinue use.
Batteries not charging
  • Batteries not properly seated.
  • Batteries are faulty or severely depleted.
  • Incorrect battery type.
  • Remove and re-insert batteries, ensuring they are correctly aligned and seated in the slots.
  • Test batteries in another compatible charger if available.
  • Ensure you are using Canon LP-E6(N) batteries. This charger is specifically designed for this battery type.
Charging is slow
  • Insufficient input power.
  • Charging two batteries simultaneously.
  • Ensure your USB power source provides the recommended minimum of 5V 2.2A. Lower amperage sources will result in slower charging.
  • Charging two batteries will naturally take longer than charging a single battery. The approximate time for two batteries is 4 hours 30 minutes.
