Introduction

Thank you for purchasing the Homedics Ellia Ascend Ultrasonic Aroma Diffuser. This diffuser uses ultrasonic technology to deliver a fine mist of natural aroma into your environment, creating a soothing and relaxing atmosphere. It features a color-changing LED light and offers continuous operation for up to 6 hours or intermittent operation for up to 12 hours, helping to relieve dry air and enhance your well-being.

Important Safeguards

When using electrical products, especially when children are present, basic safety precautions should always be followed. Read all instructions before use.

Always place the diffuser on a firm, flat surface.
Do not use attachments not recommended by the manufacturer.
Never drop or insert any object into any opening.
Do not operate where aerosol (spray) products are being used or where oxygen is being administered.
Unplug the appliance during lightning storms or when unused for long periods.
Do not use outdoors. For indoor use only.
Avoid direct skin contact with undiluted essential oils.
Keep out of reach of children and pets.
Ensure proper ventilation during use.

Setup

Place the diffuser on a level, dry surface.
Remove the ceramic outer cover and the plastic inner cover.
Connect the AC adapter to the base of the diffuser.
Fill the water reservoir with clean tap water up to the maximum fill line. Do not overfill.
Add 5-10 drops of your preferred Ellia essential oil directly into the water. Adjust the amount based on personal preference.
Replace the plastic inner cover, ensuring it is seated correctly.
Place the ceramic outer cover back onto the diffuser base.
Plug the AC adapter into a wall outlet.

Operating Instructions

The Ellia Ascend diffuser features two control buttons on its base:

Power Button (⏻): Controls the mist function.
Light Button (✴): Controls the color-changing LED light.

Mist Operation:

Press the Power button once for continuous mist mode. The diffuser will operate for approximately 6 hours and then automatically shut off when the water level is low.
Press the Power button a second time for intermittent mist mode. The diffuser will cycle between 30 seconds ON and 30 seconds OFF, operating for approximately 12 hours before automatically shutting off.
Press the Power button a third time to turn off the mist function.

Light Operation:

Press the Light button once to turn on the color-changing LED light. The light will cycle through various colors.
Press the Light button a second time to pause the light on your preferred color.
Press the Light button a third time to turn off the light function.

Maintenance

Regular cleaning helps ensure optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your diffuser.

Cleaning the Reservoir:

Unplug the diffuser from the power outlet.
Remove the ceramic outer cover and plastic inner cover.
Carefully pour out any remaining water from the reservoir, avoiding the air outlet side.
Wipe the inside of the reservoir and the ultrasonic membrane with a clean, soft cloth.
For thorough cleaning, use a cotton swab dipped in white vinegar to gently clean the ultrasonic membrane.
Rinse the reservoir with clean water, being careful not to get water into the air outlet.
Allow all parts to air dry completely before reassembling or storing.

Note: Do not use harsh detergents, abrasive cleaners, or sharp objects to clean the diffuser, as this may damage the unit.

Troubleshooting

Problem	Possible Cause	Solution
Diffuser not turning on.	No power, adapter not connected, or low water level.	Ensure adapter is securely plugged in. Check power outlet. Fill water reservoir to the MAX line.
No mist or weak mist.	Insufficient water, ultrasonic membrane dirty, or air outlet blocked.	Add water to the MAX line. Clean the ultrasonic membrane as per maintenance instructions. Ensure no obstructions in the air outlet.
Water leaking from the diffuser.	Overfilled reservoir or covers not properly seated.	Do not fill water above the MAX line. Ensure both inner and outer covers are correctly placed.
Light not working.	Light function is off.	Press the Light button to activate the color-changing LED.

Warranty Information

Homedics products are sold with the understanding that they are free of defects in manufacture and workmanship for a period of one year from the date of original purchase, except as noted below. This warranty extends only to consumers and does not extend to Retailers. To obtain warranty service on your Homedics product, contact a Consumer Relations Representative for assistance. Please make sure to have the model number of the product available.

Homedics does not authorize anyone, including, but not limited to, Retailers, the subsequent consumer purchaser of the product from a Retailer or remote purchasers, to obligate Homedics in any way beyond the terms set forth herein. This warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse or abuse; accident; the attachment of any unauthorized accessory; alteration to the product; improper installation; unauthorized repairs or modifications; improper use of electrical/power supply; loss of power; dropped product; malfunction or damage of an operating part from failure to provide manufacturer’s recommended maintenance; transportation damage; theft; neglect; vandalism; or environmental conditions; loss of use during the period the product is at a repair facility or otherwise awaiting parts or repair; or any other conditions whatsoever that are beyond the control of Homedics.

This warranty is effective only if the product is purchased and operated in the country in which the product is purchased. A product that requires modifications or adoption to enable it to operate in any other country than the country for which it was designed, manufactured, approved and/or authorized, or repair of products damaged by these modifications is not covered under this warranty.

THE WARRANTY PROVIDED HEREIN SHALL BE THE SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE WARRANTY. THERE SHALL BE NO OTHER WARRANTIES EXPRESS OR IMPLIED INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS OR ANY OTHER OBLIGATION ON THE PART OF THE COMPANY WITH RESPECT TO PRODUCTS COVERED BY THIS WARRANTY. HOMEDICS SHALL HAVE NO LIABILITY FOR ANY INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR SPECIAL DAMAGES. IN NO EVENT SHALL THIS WARRANTY REQUIRE MORE THAN THE REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT OF ANY PART OR PARTS WHICH ARE FOUND TO BE DEFECTIVE WITHIN THE EFFECTIVE PERIOD OF THE WARRANTY. NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN. IF REPLACEMENT PARTS FOR DEFECTIVE MATERIALS ARE NOT AVAILABLE, HOMEDICS RESERVES THE RIGHT TO MAKE PRODUCT SUBSTITUTIONS IN LIEU OF REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT.

This warranty does not extend to the purchase of opened, used, repaired, repackaged and/or resealed products, including but not limited to sale of such products on Internet auction sites and/or sales of such products by surplus or bulk resellers. Any and all warranties or guarantees shall immediately cease and terminate as to any products or parts thereof which are repaired, replaced, altered, or modified, without the prior express and written consent of Homedics.

This warranty provides you with specific legal rights. You may have additional rights which may vary from country to country. Because of individual country regulations, some of the above limitations and exclusions may not apply to you.
