4. Setup and Assembly
Assembly is required. For best results, it is recommended to have two people for certain steps, particularly when attaching the backrest. Hardware and tools are included.
- Attach Casters to Base: Insert each of the five casters into the holes at the end of each leg of the star base. Push firmly until they click into place.
- Insert Gas Lift: Place the gas lift cylinder into the center hole of the star base. Cover the cylinder with the cylinder cover.
- Attach Mechanism to Seat: Align the chair mechanism with the pre-drilled holes on the underside of the seat cushion. Ensure the front of the mechanism faces the front of the seat. Secure with screws, but do not fully tighten yet.
- Attach Armrests to Seat: Attach the armrests to the sides of the seat cushion using the provided screws. Ensure the armrests are oriented correctly. Do not fully tighten screws yet.
- Attach Backrest to Armrests: With assistance, align the backrest with the armrests. Secure the backrest to the armrests using the remaining screws. This step may require some force to align the holes due to padding. Do not fully tighten screws yet.
- Final Tightening: Once all screws are in place for the mechanism, armrests, and backrest, gradually tighten all screws evenly until secure. Avoid overtightening.
- Connect Seat to Gas Lift: Carefully place the assembled seat and backrest onto the gas lift cylinder. The tapered end of the gas lift should fit securely into the mechanism.

5. Operating Instructions
