Water Connection Options:

The Bomann TSG 7402 offers two methods for water supply:

  1. Integrated Water Reservoir: For use without a permanent water connection, fill the internal 5-liter water tank manually. Ensure the tank is filled before starting a cycle.
  2. Direct Water Connection (Optional): The dishwasher can also be connected to a water tap using an appropriate adapter and hose (not always included, check packaging).

Drainage:

Position the drain hose into a sink or a suitable drainage point. Ensure the hose is not kinked or blocked to allow for proper water discharge.

Operating Instructions

Loading the Dishwasher:

Arrange dishes in the rack, ensuring they do not block the spray arm's rotation. Place larger items at the back and sides. Cutlery should be placed in the cutlery basket with handles down for better cleaning, except for knives and sharp items which should be placed with handles up for safety.

After loading dishes, adding detergent, and selecting a program, press the Start button to begin the wash cycle. The LED display will show the remaining time.

Maintenance

Cleaning the Filters:

Regularly clean the filters located at the bottom of the dishwasher to prevent blockages and ensure optimal cleaning performance. Remove food particles and rinse under running water.

Self-Clean Program:

Utilize the 'Self-clean' program periodically to clean the interior of the dishwasher and remove any accumulated grime or odors.

Adding Dishwasher Salt:

If your water is hard, the dishwasher may require the addition of dishwasher salt to prevent limescale buildup. Refer to the indicator light or manufacturer's recommendations for when to refill the salt dispenser.

Exterior Cleaning:

Wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your dishwasher, consult the following common solutions before contacting service.

  • Dishwasher not starting: Ensure the power cord is securely plugged in and the door is fully closed. Check if a program has been selected and the start button pressed.
  • Dishes not clean: Check if the spray arm is blocked by dishes. Ensure filters are clean. Verify that enough detergent was used and that it is suitable for dishwashers. Avoid using excessive liquid detergent, as this can lead to too much foam and reduced cleaning power.
  • Error Code E1 (Water Level): If this error appears, ensure the water reservoir is adequately filled. Some users have found that filling with 6 liters of water instead of the standard 5 liters can resolve this issue.
  • Dishes are wet after cycle: This dishwasher may not fully dry dishes. For better drying results, select the 'Extra Dry' function. After the cycle finishes, open the door slightly to allow steam to escape and prevent condensation.
  • Unusual noises: Check for any foreign objects inside the dishwasher, such as cutlery that may have fallen into the bottom.
