1. Introduction

Thank you for purchasing the EUGAD Tree Bookshelf. This modern, space-saving 9-tier wooden bookcase is designed to provide efficient storage for your books and decorative items in living rooms, bedrooms, or study areas. Please read this manual carefully before assembly and use to ensure proper installation and safe operation.

2. Safety Instructions

• Always assemble the product on a clean, flat, and stable surface.
• Ensure all parts are present and undamaged before beginning assembly. Do not use if any parts are missing or broken.
• Do not overtighten screws, as this may damage the material.
• Keep small parts and packaging materials away from children and pets.
• For stability, always place heavier items on lower shelves.
• Do not climb on or stand on the bookshelf.
• If wall-anchoring hardware is provided, it is highly recommended to secure the bookshelf to a wall to prevent tipping, especially in homes with children or pets.

4. Assembly Instructions

Follow these steps carefully to assemble your bookshelf. It is recommended to have two people for assembly.

1. Step 1: Prepare the Base. Attach the base board (C) to one of the side panels (A) using screws (E) and dowels (F). Ensure the pre-drilled holes align.
2. Step 2: Attach Shelf Boards. Insert dowels (F) into the pre-drilled holes on the side panel. Carefully slide the shelf boards (B) onto the dowels, ensuring they are flush with the side panel. Secure with screws (E) from the outside of the side panel. Repeat for all 9 shelf boards.
3. Step 3: Attach Second Side Panel. Once all shelf boards are attached to the first side panel, align the second side panel (A) with the exposed ends of the shelf boards and the base board. Secure with screws (E) and dowels (F).
4. Step 4: Install Back Panel. Carefully position the back panel (D) onto the rear of the assembled frame. Secure it using small nails or screws provided, ensuring the bookshelf is square.
5. Step 5: Anti-Tipping Kit Installation (Highly Recommended). Locate a suitable wall stud. Attach one bracket of the anti-tipping kit (H) to the top rear of the bookshelf and the other bracket to the wall using appropriate wall anchors. Connect the two brackets with the provided strap or cable. This step is crucial for safety.

5. Usage and Operating Guidelines

• Weight Distribution: Distribute weight evenly across the shelves. Place heavier items on lower shelves to enhance stability.
• Maximum Load: Do not exceed the maximum recommended load per shelf (approximately 5 kg / 11 lbs) or total load for the unit (approximately 45 kg / 99 lbs). Overloading can cause damage or instability.
• Placement: Place the bookshelf on a level surface. Avoid placing it in direct sunlight or near heat sources to prevent material warping or discoloration.
• Cleaning: Refer to the Maintenance section for cleaning instructions.

6. Maintenance

• Cleaning: Wipe the bookshelf with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or polishes that may damage the finish.
• Dusting: Regularly dust with a dry, soft cloth to prevent dust buildup.
• Inspections: Periodically check all screws and fasteners to ensure they are tight. Retighten if necessary.
• Spills: Immediately wipe up any spills to prevent water damage or staining.
