2. Safety Information

• Ensure the sealing ring is undamaged and properly seated in its groove before closing the light to maintain waterproofing.
• Twist the light cover until it cannot be twisted any further to ensure a complete waterproof seal. Failure to do so will result in water leakage and damage to the unit.
• Always dry the lights thoroughly before replacing batteries to prevent water from entering the battery compartment and damaging internal components.
• Keep the remote control dry, as it is not waterproof. Exposure to water will cause it to malfunction.
• Use only AA batteries for the lights. Do not mix old and new batteries, or different types of batteries.

5. Setup

5.1 Battery Installation (Lights)

1. Carefully twist open the light unit counter-clockwise to access the battery compartment.
2. Insert 3 x AA batteries (not included) into the compartment, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
3. Ensure the black sealing ring is properly seated in its groove.
4. Twist the light unit clockwise until it is tightly sealed and cannot be twisted any further. This is crucial for waterproofing.

5.2 Battery Installation (Remote Control)

The remote control comes with a battery pre-installed. If replacement is needed, open the battery compartment on the back of the remote and insert a CR2025 coin cell battery, observing polarity.

5.3 Attaching the Lights

Your LOFTEK lights offer two primary attachment methods:

• Magnets: The lights have built-in magnets, ideal for attaching to iron surfaces.
• Suction Cups: For smooth, non-porous surfaces (like pool liners or tiles), attach the provided suction cups to the back of the lights. Ensure the surface is clean and dry before applying for best adhesion.

6. Operating Instructions

Use the provided RF remote control to operate your LOFTEK Submersible LED Lights.

6.1 Remote Control Layout

6.2 Basic Functions

• Power ON/OFF: Press the ON button to turn the lights on, and the OFF button to turn them off.
• Color Selection: Press any of the 16 color buttons to select a static color.
• White Light: Press the W button for pure white light.
• Brightness Adjustment: Use the Brightness + and Brightness - buttons to increase or decrease the light intensity.

6.3 Dynamic Modes

• FLASH: Cycles through colors rapidly.
• FADE: Smoothly transitions between colors.
• SMOOTH: Provides a gentle, continuous color change.

6.4 Timer Functions

Set the lights to automatically turn off after a specified duration:

• 2H: Lights turn off after 2 hours.
• 4H: Lights turn off after 4 hours.
• 6H: Lights turn off after 6 hours.
• 24H: Lights remain on continuously (default setting if no timer is selected).

6.5 Remote Control Range

The RF remote offers an extended range:

• In Air: Up to 200 ft (61m)
• Underwater: Up to 10-16.4 ft (3-5m)

Note: Pool water can significantly absorb the RF signal. For best results, control lights within 16.4 ft (5m) when they are submerged.

7. Maintenance

7.1 Cleaning

Wipe the lights with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. Ensure lights are dry before opening for battery replacement.

7.2 Battery Replacement

When the lights dim or stop responding, it's time to replace the batteries. Follow the battery installation steps in Section 5.1, ensuring the lights are completely dry before opening.

7.3 Waterproofing Check

Periodically inspect the sealing ring for any signs of wear or damage. If the ring appears compromised, replace it to maintain the IP68 waterproof rating. Always ensure the light is twisted tightly closed before submerging.

7.4 Storage

When not in use for extended periods, remove the batteries from both the lights and the remote control to prevent leakage and corrosion. Store the lights in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
