5. Setup and Installation

Follow these steps for proper installation of the Richmat HJA1 actuator:

1. Prepare the Bed Frame: Ensure your bed frame is compatible with a dual motor actuator. The mounting points on your bed frame should align with the actuator's mounting holes.
2. Mount the Actuator: Secure the actuator to the bed frame using appropriate fasteners (not included). The actuator features mounting holes with a diameter of 25 mm and an inter-axis distance of 581 mm between the two main mounting points. Refer to the technical drawing for precise measurements.
3. Connect the Remote Control: Plug the wired remote control cable into the designated port on the actuator unit.
4. Connect Power: Plug the power cable into the actuator unit, then connect the other end to a standard electrical outlet (100-240V AC).
5. Test Functionality: Before placing the mattress, briefly test the actuator's movement using the remote control to ensure proper installation and operation.

Note: This actuator can replace OKIN, LIMOSS, DEWERT, and other brands of dual motor actuators that do not have a massage function, provided the mounting dimensions are compatible.

6. Operating Instructions

The Richmat HJA1 actuator is operated using the wired remote control:

• Head Section Adjustment: Use the top pair of arrow buttons (pointing up and down) to raise or lower the head section of the bed.
• Foot Section Adjustment: Use the middle pair of arrow buttons (pointing up and down) to raise or lower the foot section of the bed.
• Simultaneous Adjustment: Use the bottom pair of arrow buttons (pointing up and down with both head and foot icons) to raise or lower both the head and foot sections simultaneously.

Press and hold the desired button to move the section. Release the button to stop movement at any desired position.

The actuator operates with a duty cycle of 2 minutes on / 18 minutes off. This means it can run continuously for up to 2 minutes, after which it requires an 18-minute cool-down period to prevent overheating and ensure longevity.

7. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your Richmat HJA1 actuator, follow these maintenance guidelines:

• Cleaning: Wipe the actuator and remote control with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. Ensure no liquids enter the unit.
• Inspection: Periodically inspect the power cord, remote control cable, and all connections for any signs of damage or wear.
• Lubrication: The actuator is factory-lubricated and does not require additional lubrication.
• Emergency Battery (if applicable): Some models may include a 9V emergency battery backup for lowering the bed during a power outage. Check your specific model for this feature and replace the battery annually if present.
