1. Introduction

Thank you for purchasing the Beetel M53N Landline Phone. This basic corded telephone is designed for reliable communication, featuring Caller ID and a double speaker for enhanced audio. Please read this manual carefully to ensure proper installation and operation of your new phone.

2. Getting Started

2.1 Package Contents

Please check the package for the following items:

  • Beetel M53N Telephone Base Unit
  • Handset
  • Coiled Handset Cord
  • Telephone Line Cord

2.2 Setup

Follow these steps to set up your Beetel M53N phone:

  1. Connect the Handset: Plug one end of the coiled handset cord into the handset and the other end into the jack labeled with a handset icon on the side or back of the telephone base unit.
  2. Connect the Telephone Line: Plug one end of the telephone line cord into the jack labeled with a telephone line icon (or 'LINE') on the back of the telephone base unit. Plug the other end into your wall telephone jack.
  3. Power Connection: This phone typically draws power from the telephone line and does not require an external power adapter. Ensure the line cord is securely connected.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Making a Call

  1. Lift the handset or press the SPEAKER button to get a dial tone.
  2. Dial the desired phone number using the keypad.
  3. Wait for the call to connect.
  4. To end the call, replace the handset or press the SPEAKER button again if on speakerphone.

3.2 Receiving a Call

When the phone rings:

  • Lift the handset to answer the call.
  • Alternatively, press the SPEAKER button to answer in speakerphone mode.

3.3 Using Caller ID

The Beetel M53N supports Caller ID. When an incoming call is received, the caller's number (and name, if available and subscribed to the service) will be displayed on the screen before you answer.

  • Use the UP () and DOWN () arrow buttons to scroll through the Caller ID log.
  • Press DEL to delete an entry from the log.

3.4 Speakerphone Function

The phone features a double speaker for clear hands-free communication.

  • To activate speakerphone during a call, press the SPEAKER button.
  • To switch back to the handset, lift the handset.
  • To end a speakerphone call, press the SPEAKER button again.

3.5 Volume Adjustment

Adjust the speakerphone volume using the VOL button. Repeatedly press the button to cycle through available volume levels.

3.6 Memory Dialing (M1, M2, M3)

The phone includes three one-touch memory buttons (M1, M2, M3) for frequently dialed numbers.

To Store a Number:

  1. Lift the handset or press SPEAKER.
  2. Press SET/FLASH.
  3. Dial the phone number you wish to store.
  4. Press SET/FLASH again.
  5. Press the desired memory button (M1, M2, or M3). The number is now stored.

To Dial a Stored Number:

  • Lift the handset or press SPEAKER.
  • Press the desired memory button (M1, M2, or M3). The phone will automatically dial the stored number.

4. Care and Maintenance

  • Clean the phone with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Avoid exposing the phone to direct sunlight, excessive moisture, or extreme temperatures.
  • Do not disassemble the phone. Refer servicing to qualified personnel.

5. Troubleshooting Guide
