Troubleshooting

  • Drives Not Recognized:
    • Ensure all cables (power and USB) are securely connected.
    • Verify that hard drives are properly seated in their bays and locked.
    • Check Disk Management (Windows) or Disk Utility (macOS/Linux) to see if the drives are detected but uninitialized or unformatted. Follow the formatting steps if necessary.
    • If using RAID, ensure the RAID mode is correctly set and the drives are compatible with the chosen mode.
  • Sleep Mode Issues:
    • Some users report that drives may enter sleep mode and become inaccessible. This is a power-saving feature. If this causes issues, check the manufacturer's website or contact support for potential firmware updates or software tools to adjust sleep settings.
  • Slow Transfer Speeds:
    • Ensure you are connected to a USB 3.0 port on your computer.
    • Check the health of your hard drives.
    • Verify that the enclosure's fan is operating correctly to prevent thermal throttling.
