1. Introduction

Thank you for purchasing the Escape Platinum SPBT005 Bluetooth Speaker Radio Alarm Clock. This device combines a wireless stereo speaker, FM radio, and a dual alarm clock into one compact unit. It supports music playback from Bluetooth-enabled devices, USB drives, and MicroSD cards. This manual provides detailed instructions to help you set up, operate, and maintain your device.

4. Setup

  1. Charging the Device: Connect the included USB charging cable to the DC 5V / 1.0A Max input port on the speaker and the other end to a USB power adapter (not included) or a computer USB port. The charging indicator will illuminate. A full charge takes approximately 3-4 hours.
  2. Power On/Off: Press and hold the Power button (usually marked with a power symbol) for a few seconds to turn the device on or off. The display will light up.
  3. Setting the Time: Refer to the specific buttons on your device (often 'Time Set' or 'Clock' button). Press it, then use the '+' and '-' buttons to adjust hours and minutes. Press the 'Time Set' button again to confirm.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Bluetooth Pairing

  1. Ensure the speaker is powered on and in Bluetooth mode (it may automatically enter this mode or require pressing a 'Mode' button). A voice prompt or indicator light will confirm Bluetooth mode.
  2. On your mobile device, enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
  3. Select "SPBT005" or a similar name from the list.
  4. Once paired, the speaker will confirm with an audible tone or voice prompt. You can now play audio from your device through the speaker.

5.2 FM Radio Operation

  1. Press the 'Mode' button until you hear the FM radio function activate.
  2. To auto-scan and save stations, press and hold the 'Play/Pause' button. The speaker will scan and store available FM stations.
  3. Use the 'Previous' and 'Next' buttons (often marked with arrows or volume symbols) to navigate between saved stations.

5.3 USB / MicroSD Playback

  1. Insert a USB flash drive or a MicroSD card (with MP3 audio files) into the respective slot on the speaker.
  2. The speaker should automatically switch to USB or MicroSD mode and begin playing the first track. If not, press the 'Mode' button to select the correct input.
  3. Use the 'Play/Pause', 'Previous', and 'Next' buttons to control playback.

5.4 Alarm Clock Function

  1. Setting Alarm 1/2: Press the 'Alarm' button (or 'Alarm 1' / 'Alarm 2' if separate). The alarm time display will flash.
  2. Use the '+' and '-' buttons to adjust the hour and minute. Press the 'Alarm' button again to confirm each setting.
  3. You may be prompted to select the alarm source (e.g., FM radio, buzzer, or USB/MicroSD).
  4. Activating/Deactivating Alarm: Press the 'Alarm' button repeatedly to cycle through alarm states (e.g., Alarm 1 ON, Alarm 2 ON, Both ON, Both OFF). An alarm icon will appear on the display when active.
  5. Snooze Function: When the alarm sounds, press the 'Snooze' button (often the 'Play/Pause' button) to temporarily silence it. The alarm will sound again after a set interval.
  6. Stopping Alarm: To turn off the alarm completely, press any button other than 'Snooze' when it is sounding.

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the surface of the speaker. Do not use abrasive cleaners, waxes, or solvents.
  • Storage: When not in use for extended periods, store the device in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Battery Care: To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. Charge the device regularly, even if not in constant use.
  • Avoid Water: This device is not waterproof. Keep it away from water, moisture, and high humidity.

7. Troubleshooting

Bluetooth pairing fails.Ensure the speaker is in Bluetooth pairing mode. Turn off and on Bluetooth on your device. Move the speaker closer to your device. Clear previous pairings on your device and try again.
Poor FM radio reception.Extend the antenna fully (if applicable). Reposition the speaker to a location with better signal. Perform an auto-scan again.
USB/MicroSD playback not working.Ensure the USB drive or MicroSD card is inserted correctly. Verify that the audio files are in a supported format (e.g., MP3). Try a different USB drive or MicroSD card.
Alarm does not sound.Ensure the alarm is set and activated (check for the alarm icon on the display). Verify the alarm volume is not set to zero.
