A standout feature is the Smart Illumination. Maintenance
To maintain your Logitech MX Keys keyboard, regularly wipe it down with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust and debris. For deeper cleaning, a slightly damp cloth can be used, ensuring no moisture enters the key switches or ports. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.

The keyboard is equipped with a USB-C rechargeable battery. A full charge can last up to 10 days with backlighting enabled, or up to 5 months with backlighting off. Charge the keyboard using the provided USB-C cable. It can be used while charging.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your Logitech MX Keys keyboard, consider the following:
- Connectivity Issues: Ensure the keyboard is turned on and fully charged. If using the Unifying Receiver, try plugging it into a different USB port. For Bluetooth connections, ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your device and try re-pairing the keyboard.
- Backlight Behavior: The smart illumination feature adjusts automatically. If the backlight turns off too quickly, this is a battery-saving feature. There is no option to change the backlight timeout in the provided software. Keeping the keyboard plugged in will keep the lights on.
- Typing Feel: The keyboard has a fixed angle due to its integrated battery strip and lacks adjustable stands. This design choice contributes to its solid feel but means the typing angle cannot be customized.
- Key Layout: Some users may find the left Shift key to be smaller than standard, potentially leading to accidental presses of the adjacent backslash key. Familiarity with the layout will improve typing accuracy over time.
