- Press the CAL button again to confirm the second calibration point. The display will show 'PASS' indicating successful calibration.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Power On/Off
Press the ON/OFF button once to turn the device on. Press and hold the ON/OFF button for approximately 3 seconds to turn it off.
5.2 Absolute Measurement Mode
In Absolute Measurement Mode, the device measures the angle relative to a true horizontal plane (0°). This is the default mode when the device is powered on.

Figure 5.1: Illustration of Absolute Measurement Mode (top) and Relative Measurement Mode (bottom).
5.3 Relative Measurement Mode
Relative Measurement Mode allows you to measure the angle difference between two surfaces. This is useful for comparing angles or setting a specific reference point.
- Place the level on the first surface you wish to set as your reference (0°).
- Press the REF button. The display will show '0.00°' and a 'REF' indicator, signifying that this position is now the relative zero.
- Move the level to the second surface. The display will now show the angle difference relative to your set reference.
- To exit Relative Measurement Mode, press the REF button again. The device will return to Absolute Measurement Mode.
5.4 Unit Conversion
The device can display measurements in four different units:
- Degrees (°)
- Percent (%)
- mm/m (millimeters per meter)
- IN/FT (inches per foot)
To switch between units, press the MODE button repeatedly until your desired unit is displayed.
5.5 Hold Function
To freeze the current reading on the display, press the HOLD button. The 'H' indicator will appear on the screen. Press the HOLD button again to release the reading and resume live measurement.
5.6 Audible Buzzer
The device features an audible buzzer that sounds when the level is at 0° (horizontal) or 90° (vertical). This is particularly useful when working in conditions where the display is not easily visible.
To toggle the buzzer on or off, press the Buzzer button (speaker icon).
5.7 Magnetic V-Groove Base
The integrated V-groove base with strong magnets allows the level to be securely attached to various metal surfaces, including pipes, conduits, and steel beams, for hands-free operation.
