5. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your GSM Fixed Wireless Terminal, please refer to the following common problems and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| No Power LED | Power adapter not connected or faulty; device not switched on. | Check power adapter connection and outlet. Ensure the ON/OFF switch is in the 'ON' position. |
| No Signal Strength LEDs / Weak Signal | Poor GSM network coverage; antenna not connected or positioned correctly; faulty SIM card. | Relocate the device to an area with better GSM reception. Ensure the antenna is securely connected and positioned vertically. Check if the SIM card is active and correctly inserted. |
| No Dial Tone / Cannot Make Calls | SIM card not registered; telephone not connected correctly; insufficient signal. | Verify SIM card registration (MODULE LED should be solid green). Check telephone cable connection to RJ-11 port. Ensure adequate signal strength (Signal Strength LEDs). |
| Cannot Receive Calls | SIM card not registered; telephone not connected correctly. | Verify SIM card registration. Check telephone cable connection. |
| Poor Voice Quality | Weak signal; environmental noise. | Improve signal strength by repositioning the device/antenna. The device has anti-noise circuitry, but extreme environmental noise can still affect quality. |
If the problem persists after trying these solutions, please contact your retailer or the manufacturer for further assistance.
