1. Introduction

The Tihebeyan GSM Fixed Wireless Terminal (FWT) is a device designed to connect standard telephones, alarm systems, or other communication products to a GSM mobile network. 2. Setup

2.1 Package Contents

Before proceeding with the setup, please ensure all items are present in the package:

  • 1 x GSM Fixed Wireless Terminal Host Box
  • 1 x Telephone Cable
  • 1 x Power Adapter (US Plug)
  • 1 x Antenna
  • 1 x User Manual

2.2 SIM Card Installation

  1. Ensure the device is powered off.
  2. Locate the SIM card slot on the device.
  3. Carefully insert your 2G/3G/4G SIM card into the slot until it clicks into place. Ensure the SIM card is correctly oriented as indicated on the device.

2.3 Antenna Connection

  1. Locate the SMA antenna connector on the back of the device.
  2. Screw the provided antenna onto the SMA connector clockwise until it is finger-tight.
  3. Position the antenna vertically for optimal signal reception.

2.4 Power and Device Connections

  1. Connect the power adapter to the DC 5V/12V input port on the back of the FWT.
  2. Plug the power adapter into a suitable electrical outlet (110V/220V AC).
  3. Connect your standard telephone, alarm system, or other communication device to one of the RJ-11 ports labeled "PHONE1" or "PHONE2" using the provided telephone cable.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Powering On/Off

  • After connecting the power adapter, switch the "ON/OFF" button to the "ON" position to power on the device.
  • To power off, switch the "ON/OFF" button to the "OFF" position and disconnect the power adapter.

3.2 LED Indicators

The device features 9 LED indicators to display its current status. Refer to the table below for their meanings:

3.3 Making and Receiving Calls

  • Making a Call: Pick up the connected telephone handset. You should hear a dial tone. Dial the desired phone number.
  • Receiving a Call: When an incoming call is detected, the connected telephone will ring. Pick up the handset to answer the call.

The device supports standard DTMF (Dual-Tone Multi-Frequency) input, which can be used for various functions such as navigating automated phone menus or specific alarm system commands.

4. Maintenance

4.1 General Care

  • Keep the device in a dry environment, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
