3. Setup
3.1 Initial Charging
Before first use, fully charge the earbuds and the charging case.
- Place both earbuds into the charging case. Ensure they are seated correctly.
- Connect the USB charging cable to the charging case and a compatible USB power source.
- The indicator lights on the charging case will show the charging status. A full charge typically takes approximately 2 hours.

3.2 Fitting the Earbuds
Proper fit is crucial for sound quality and comfort. The JVC HAA10TA includes both memory foam and silicone earpieces to ensure a secure fit.
- Select the earpiece size that best fits your ear canal. Experiment with different sizes for optimal comfort and sound isolation.
- Gently insert the earbud into your ear and twist slightly to secure it. The memory foam earpieces will conform to your ear shape for a snug fit.

3.3 Pairing with a Bluetooth Device
The earbuds are designed for simple and automatic connection.
- Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your audio device (e.g., smartphone, tablet).
- Remove both earbuds from the charging case. They will automatically power on and enter pairing mode.
- On your device, search for available Bluetooth devices and select "JVC HAA10TA" (or similar) from the list.
- Once connected, a confirmation sound may be heard, and the indicator lights on the earbuds will change.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Power On/Off
- Power On: Remove the earbuds from the charging case. They will automatically power on.
- Power Off: Place the earbuds back into the charging case. They will automatically power off and begin charging.
4.2 Music Playback and Call Controls
The earbuds feature physical buttons on each side for basic controls:
- Play/Pause: Press the button on either earbud once.
- Answer/End Call: Press the button on either earbud once during an incoming call or an active call.
- Reject Call: Press and hold the button on either earbud during an incoming call.
- Next Track: Double-press the button on the right earbud.
- Previous Track: Double-press the button on the left earbud.
- Volume Control: Volume must be adjusted directly on your connected audio device.
4.3 Voice Assistant Activation
The earbuds are compatible with voice assistant features on your connected device.
- Activate Voice Assistant: Press and hold the button on either earbud for approximately 2 seconds until you hear an audible prompt.
4.4 Water Resistance (IPX5)
The JVC HAA10TA earbuds are rated IPX5 water resistant, meaning they can withstand a sustained, low-pressure water jet spray. This makes them suitable for use during workouts or in light rain. They are not designed for submersion in water.
