3. Setup and Installation
- Unpacking: Carefully remove all packaging materials, including any tape or protective film. Inspect the freezer for any shipping damage.
- Placement: Choose a location that is dry, well-ventilated, and away from direct sunlight or heat sources (e.g., stove, radiator). Ensure the floor is strong enough to support the freezer when fully loaded. Allow at least 4 inches (10 cm) of space on all sides (top, back, and sides) for proper air circulation and cooling efficiency.
- Leveling: Use the adjustable feet at the bottom of the freezer to ensure it is perfectly level. This helps in proper door sealing and efficient operation.
- Initial Standby: After placing the freezer in its final position, allow it to stand upright for at least 24 hours before plugging it into a power outlet. This allows the refrigerant to settle, preventing potential damage to the cooling system.
- Cleaning: Before first use, wipe the interior and exterior of the freezer with a soft cloth dampened with a mild detergent solution or a baking soda and water mixture. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
- Power Connection: Plug the freezer into a dedicated, grounded electrical outlet. Do not use extension cords or adapter plugs.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Temperature Control
The freezer is equipped with a 7-level thermostatic control system located at the back of the unit. This dial allows you to adjust the internal temperature to suit your needs.
- Initial Setting: For optimal performance, it is recommended to set the temperature dial to "4" when first starting the freezer.
- Temperature Range: The adjustable temperature range is approximately -7.6°F (-22°C) to 6.8°F (-14°C).
- Settings:
- Settings 1-3: Micro-freezing (warmer settings).
- Settings 4-7: Deep freezing (colder settings).
- Setting 0: Used for defrosting the unit.
- Adjust the dial gradually and allow several hours for the temperature to stabilize before making further adjustments.

4.3 Reversible Door
The freezer door is designed to be reversible, allowing you to change the opening direction to best suit your space and preference. Refer to the detailed instructions in the separate installation guide for reversing the door.
5. Maintenance
5.1 Defrosting
This freezer features a manual defrost system. Frost buildup can reduce cooling efficiency and storage capacity. Defrost the freezer when the frost layer reaches approximately 0.2 inches (5 mm) thick.
- Turn the temperature control dial to "0" (OFF) and unplug the freezer from the power outlet.
- Remove all frozen food items and place them in another freezer or insulated container to keep them frozen.
- Leave the freezer door open to allow the frost to melt naturally. You can place towels at the bottom to absorb water. Do not use sharp objects or heating devices to remove frost, as this can damage the cooling system.
- Once all frost has melted, clean and dry the interior thoroughly.
- Plug the freezer back in and set the temperature control to your desired setting. Allow it to cool down for a few hours before returning food items.
5.2 Cleaning
Regular cleaning helps maintain hygiene and efficiency.
- Always unplug the freezer before cleaning.
- Clean the interior with a solution of mild detergent and warm water, or a mixture of baking soda and water (1 tablespoon baking soda to 1 quart of water).
- Wipe down the exterior with a soft cloth and mild detergent.
- Ensure all surfaces are dry before plugging the freezer back in.
- Clean the condenser coils at the back of the freezer periodically (e.g., every 6-12 months) using a soft brush or vacuum cleaner to remove dust and debris. This improves energy efficiency.
6. Troubleshooting
Before contacting customer service, please check the following common issues and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Freezer does not operate. | No power supply. | Check if the power cord is properly plugged in. Check the circuit breaker or fuse. |
| Freezer is not cold enough. | Temperature setting is too high (warm). Door is not closed properly. Excessive frost buildup. Poor ventilation. | Adjust the temperature control to a colder setting. Ensure the door is fully closed and the seal is intact. Defrost the freezer (refer to Section 5.1). Ensure adequate space around the freezer for air circulation. |
| Excessive noise. | Freezer is not level. Objects touching the back or sides of the freezer. | Adjust the leveling feet to ensure the freezer is stable. Move the freezer away from walls or other objects. |
| Ice buildup inside. | Door left open too long or not sealed properly. High humidity. Temperature setting too cold. | Ensure the door is closed tightly. Check door gasket for damage. This is normal in humid environments for manual defrost freezers. Adjust the temperature control to a slightly warmer setting if frost is excessive. |
