Model: Vbestlife1dg5ia0t6w

1. Introduction

This manual provides essential instructions for the safe assembly, installation, operation, and maintenance of your VBESTLIFE Kids Bike Training Wheels. Please read this manual thoroughly before installation and retain it for future reference. Proper installation and use are crucial for the safety of the rider.

2. Safety Information

  • Always ensure all bolts and nuts are securely tightened before each use.
  • Regularly inspect the training wheels for wear, damage, or loose parts. Do not use if damaged.
  • Ensure the training wheels are adjusted correctly so that the bicycle remains stable but allows for slight leaning.
  • Adult supervision is required when children are using bicycles equipped with training wheels.
  • These training wheels are designed for children learning to ride. They are not intended for advanced cycling or stunts.
  • Always wear appropriate safety gear, including a helmet, when riding a bicycle.

3. Package Contents

Verify that all components are present in the package:

4. Setup and Installation

Follow these steps to properly install the training wheels on a bicycle:

  1. Prepare the Bicycle: Ensure the bicycle is upright and stable. If necessary, remove the rear wheel's quick-release skewer or axle nuts.
  2. Attach the Mounting Bracket: Slide one training wheel mounting bracket onto the rear axle of the bicycle, next to the frame. Ensure the bracket's arm points downwards and slightly backward.

  3. Secure the Wheel: Reinstall the axle nut or quick-release skewer, tightening it securely to hold the training wheel bracket in place. Repeat for the other side.
  4. Adjust Height: The training wheels should be adjusted so that they are slightly off the ground (approximately 0.5 to 1 inch) when the bicycle is upright. This allows the child to learn to balance while still providing support. Adjust the height by moving the training wheel arm up or down within the bracket's slots and securing it with the provided bolt and nut.

5. Operating Instructions

Once installed, the training wheels provide stability for children learning to ride a bicycle. Encourage the child to pedal and steer naturally. The slight gap between the training wheels and the ground allows the child to experience a gentle lean, which is crucial for developing balance skills. As the child gains confidence and balance, the training wheels can be gradually raised or eventually removed.

6. Maintenance

  • Regular Inspection: Before each ride, check all bolts and nuts for tightness. Inspect the training wheels and arms for any signs of damage, cracks, or excessive wear.
  • Cleaning: Clean the training wheels with a damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals that may damage the plastic or metal components.
  • Storage: Store the training wheels in a dry place when not in use to prevent rust on metal parts.
