5.3. Offline Clone Function
The offline clone function allows you to duplicate data from a source drive to a target drive without connecting to a computer. This feature is useful for creating backups or migrating data.
- Disconnect USB: Ensure the USB 3.0 cable is disconnected from your computer. The docking station must operate in standalone mode for offline cloning.
- Insert Source Drive: Insert the source hard drive (the drive you want to copy from) into either the "Master B" or "Master C" bay.
- Insert Target Drive: Insert the target hard drive (the drive you want to copy to) into the "SON A" bay. Ensure the target drive has equal or greater capacity than the source drive.
- Initiate Clone: Press and hold the "Clone" button (often labeled "One Touch" or similar) on the docking station for a few seconds until the cloning process begins. Progress indicators (e.g., 25%, 50%, 75%, 100%) will light up.
- Completion: The cloning process is complete when all progress indicator lights are solid. Safely remove the drives.
Important: Ensure the USB cable is disconnected from the computer before initiating an offline clone to prevent accidental data loss on your computer's drives.
6. Maintenance
- Keep the docking station clean and free from dust. Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning.
- Avoid exposing the device to extreme temperatures, humidity, or direct sunlight.
- Do not attempt to disassemble the unit, as this will void the warranty and may cause damage.
- Ensure proper ventilation around the device during operation.
7. Troubleshooting
