4. Setup Guide

4.1. Initial Charging

Before first use, fully charge the camera using the provided USB data cable. Connect the cable to the camera's USB socket and a power source (e.g., computer USB port or USB wall adapter). The indicator light will show charging status. (Refer to video: 0:06 - 0:17)

4.2. Powering On/Off

To power on the camera, press and hold the "Switch Key" (on/off button) for approximately 6 seconds until the indicator light blinks blue. To power off, repeat the process. (Refer to video: 0:22 - 0:59)

4.3. MicroSD Card Installation

Insert a microSD card (up to 128GB, not included) into the TF socket for local storage. Ensure the camera is powered off before inserting or removing the card.

4.4. App Download and Account Creation

  1. Download the "PixPlus-EN" app from your device's app store (Apple App Store or Google Play Store). (Refer to video: 1:17 - 1:58)
  2. Open the app and select "Sign Up" to create a new account. (Refer to video: 2:04 - 3:18)
  3. Enter your email address and create a password (6-26 digits, including uppercase, lowercase letters, and numerals).
  4. Confirm your email by clicking the verification link sent to your registered email address. (Refer to video: 3:22 - 4:02)

4.5. Connecting to Wi-Fi

  1. Open the "PixPlus-EN" app and log in. (Refer to video: 4:08 - 4:24)
  2. Tap the "+" icon in the upper right corner to add a device. (Refer to video: 4:25 - 4:32)
  3. Select "Intelligent camera" from the options. (Refer to video: 4:45 - 4:51)
  4. Choose "Device adding by scanning the code" (top option). (Refer to video: 4:52 - 5:00)
  5. Confirm that the camera's indicator light is blinking rapidly blue, then check the box and tap "Next". (Refer to video: 5:01 - 5:17)
  6. Enter your home Wi-Fi network name and password. The device does not support 5G networks. (Refer to video: 5:20 - 5:38)
  7. Align the camera's lens with the QR code displayed on your phone screen, holding it about 4 inches away. The camera will beep when successfully scanned. (Refer to video: 5:39 - 6:29)
  8. Once connected, the app will show "Addition is successful". Tap "Start to experience". (Refer to video: 6:33 - 6:51)

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Live View

After successful setup, tap on the camera's preview in the app to access the live video feed. You can monitor your space in real-time. (Refer to video: 6:52 - 7:10)

5.2. Changing Video Quality

To adjust the video quality (e.g., from SD to HD):

  1. While in live view, locate the "SD Quality" option at the bottom of the screen.
  2. Tap on it to switch to "HD Quality" for a clearer image. (Refer to video: 7:17 - 7:34)

5.3. Switching Playback Source (Cloud/Memory Card)

To view recorded videos from either cloud storage or your microSD card:

  1. From the live view screen, tap the "Settings" gear icon in the upper right corner.
  2. Scroll down to find "Play Videos From".
  3. Tap on it and select either "Cloud" or "Memory card" as your preferred playback source.

5.4. Motion Detection and Night Vision

The camera features motion detection to alert you to activity and HD night vision for clear recording in low-light conditions. These features can typically be configured within the app's settings under "Detection sensitivity" and "Night vision" options.
