1. Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for the safe installation, operation, and maintenance of your TORCHSTAR 6-inch Gimbal LED Recessed Lights. Please read this manual thoroughly before installation and retain it for future reference.

The TORCHSTAR 6-inch Gimbal LED Recessed Light is a 13.5W, IC-rated, air-tight, dimmable canless downlight designed for various indoor applications. It features a directional swivel head and provides 3000K warm white illumination.

2. Safety Information

WARNING: Risk of electric shock. Disconnect power at the fuse or circuit breaker before installation or servicing.

• Always turn off the main power supply before beginning any electrical work.
• Installation must be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with all local electrical codes.
• Do not install this fixture with wet hands or while standing on wet or damp surfaces.

5. Installation Instructions

Follow these steps for proper installation. Ensure power is disconnected before starting.

1. Prepare the Ceiling: Using the provided template, cut a hole of 5.91 inches (150 mm) diameter in the ceiling at the desired location.
2. Connect Wiring: Open the junction box cover. Connect the household electrical wires (live, neutral, ground) to the corresponding terminals inside the junction box. Ensure all connections are secure. Use appropriate cable connectors for the knockouts (not included).
3. Insert Junction Box: Place the wired junction box through the cut-out hole into the ceiling.
4. Connect LED Panel: Connect the cable from the LED light fixture to the junction box. Ensure the connection is firm.
5. Secure Fixture: Squeeze the spring clips on the sides of the LED fixture and push the light into the ceiling hole. The clips will hold the fixture securely in place.
6. Restore Power: Once all fixtures are installed and secured, restore power at the circuit breaker.

6. Operating Instructions

Your TORCHSTAR Gimbal LED Recessed Light offers flexible lighting control:

• Directional Lighting: The light head can be rotated 355° horizontally and tilted 30° vertically. Gently adjust the inner light module to direct the light beam as desired.
• Dimmable Functionality: This fixture is 10%-100% dimmable. Use a compatible LED dimmer switch (not included) to adjust the brightness level according to your preference.
• Color Temperature: This model provides a warm white light at 3000K, ideal for creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere.

These LED recessed lights require minimal maintenance.

• Cleaning: Ensure the power is off before cleaning. Wipe the fixture with a soft, dry, or slightly damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
• Bulb Replacement: The LED light source is integrated and not user-replaceable. The fixture has a long lifespan of approximately 50,000 hours.
