Controls and Ports:

Setup

1. Charging the Speaker

1. Connect the supplied USB charging cable to the speaker's USB charging port.
2. Connect the other end of the USB cable to a suitable USB power adapter (not supplied) or a computer's USB port.
3. The display will indicate charging status. Allow approximately 3-4 hours for a full charge.
4. Disconnect the cable once fully charged.

2. Powering On/Off

• To Power On: Press and hold the Power/Mode button for a few seconds until the display illuminates.
• To Power Off: Press and hold the Power/Mode button again until the display turns off.

Operating Instructions

1. Bluetooth Mode

1. Power on the speaker. It will typically enter Bluetooth pairing mode automatically, indicated by a flashing Bluetooth icon on the display. If not, short press the Power/Mode button until "Bluetooth" is displayed.
2. On your smartphone or other Bluetooth device, enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
3. Select "Veho MD-1" from the list.
4. Once paired, the Bluetooth icon will become solid, and you can begin streaming audio.
5. Use the Play/Pause and Track Skip buttons on the speaker or your connected device to control playback.
6. Adjust volume using the volume knob.

2. DAB/FM Radio Mode

1. Short press the Power/Mode button until "DAB" or "FM" is displayed.
2. Automatic Scan: In DAB or FM mode, press and hold the Scan/Preset button to initiate an automatic scan for available stations. The speaker will store found stations.
3. Manual Tuning/Station Selection: Use the Track Skip buttons to cycle through available stations or presets.
4. Saving Presets (DAB/FM):
   • Tune to the desired station.
   • Press and hold the Scan/Preset button until "Preset Store" appears.
   • Use the Track Skip buttons to select a preset number (e.g., P01, P02).
   • Press the Scan/Preset button again to confirm and save.
5. Recalling Presets: Short press the Scan/Preset button, then use the Track Skip buttons to select and play a saved preset.

3. AUX Mode

1. Connect one end of the 3.5mm AUX cable to the speaker's AUX input port.
2. Connect the other end to the headphone jack or audio output of your external device (e.g., MP3 player, laptop).
3. Short press the Power/Mode button until "AUX" is displayed.
4. Control playback directly from your connected external device. Adjust volume using the speaker's volume knob.

4. Hands-Free Calling

• When connected via Bluetooth to a smartphone, incoming calls will automatically interrupt audio playback.
• Press the Play/Pause button to answer an incoming call.
• Press the Play/Pause button again to end the call.
• The built-in microphone allows for clear communication.

Maintenance

• Cleaning: Wipe the speaker's surface with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners, aerosols, or solvents.
• Battery Care: To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. Charge the speaker regularly, even if not in use for extended periods. Store in a cool, dry place.
