Filling the Kettle

  • Do not fill below the minimum mark or above the maximum mark (1.2 Liters). Overfilling may cause boiling water to spill out.
  • Ensure the lid is securely closed before operating.

Using the Heating Modes

The kettle features three distinct heating modes controlled by the adjustable heat-setting knob. The knob is small and tight; ensure the indicator bobble is precisely aligned with your desired setting.

  1. Keep Warm (50-60°C):
    • Turn the knob to the "KEEP WARM" setting.
    • The kettle will maintain a temperature between 50-60°C with an auto cut-off cycle.
    • Ideal for keeping beverages or food warm without continuous boiling.
  2. Heating (Up to 100°C):
    • Turn the knob to the "HEATING" setting.
    • The kettle will heat water up to 100°C.
    • It will then auto cut off for 1-2 minutes and restart when the temperature drops.
    • Suitable for heating water for tea, coffee, or preparing instant foods.
  3. Boiling (Continuous):
    • Turn the knob to the "BOILING" setting.
    • The kettle will boil water continuously.
    • It will not auto cut-off until the water dries up. Use this mode with caution and never leave unattended.
    • This mode is suitable for boiling eggs, noodles, or other foods that require sustained boiling.

After selecting the desired mode, the indicator light will illuminate, signifying that the kettle is operating. Once cooking is complete, turn the knob to "OFF" and unplug the kettle from the power outlet.

Cooking Examples

  • Boiled Eggs: Place eggs in the egg boiling rack, add water to cover, and select the "BOILING" mode.
  • Noodles/Pasta: Add water and noodles, select "BOILING" mode. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.
  • Soups: Add ingredients and water, select "BOILING" or "HEATING" mode as required.
  • Steaming: Use the stainless steel rack for steaming vegetables or other items above the water level.

Cleaning and Maintenance

Regular cleaning ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your kettle. Always unplug the kettle and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.

  1. Cool Down: Ensure the kettle has cooled down completely after use.
  2. Interior Cleaning: For general cleaning, add water and a small amount of dish soap to the kettle. Clean gently with a soft sponge.
  3. Rinse: Discard the soapy water and rinse the interior thoroughly with clean water.
  4. Exterior Cleaning: Wipe the exterior of the kettle with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
  5. Avoid Water Contact with Base: Never immerse the kettle base or power base in water or any other liquid. Avoid direct water contact with the electrical components.
  6. Descaling: Over time, mineral deposits (limescale) may build up inside the kettle, especially in hard water areas. To descale:
    • Fill the kettle with a mixture of equal parts water and white vinegar (or a commercial descaling solution).
    • Bring the mixture to a boil and let it stand for at least 30 minutes, or longer for heavy deposits.
    • Empty the kettle and rinse thoroughly several times with fresh water.
    • If necessary, repeat the process.
  7. Stain Removal: For stubborn food stains, particularly if milk or other foods have burned, a paste of baking soda and water can be applied and left for a short period before gently scrubbing with a soft sponge. Rinse thoroughly.

Water not heating or boiling.Incorrect heating mode selected; insufficient water; kettle needs descaling.Verify the heat-setting knob is on "HEATING" or "BOILING". Ensure water level is above minimum. Descale the kettle if limescale buildup is present.
Kettle switches off too quickly in "Heating" mode. This is normal operation for the "Heating" mode (auto cut-off at 100°C, restarts when temperature drops). If continuous boiling is required, use the "BOILING" mode.
Food burns easily on the bottom.Thin stainless steel construction; not stirring; unsuitable food type (e.g., milk).Stir food frequently during cooking. Avoid boiling milk or other foods prone to burning. Use for boiling water, steaming, or light cooking.
