2. What's in the Box

Upon unboxing your vivo Y28e 5G, verify that all the following items are included:

• Phone Case
• Screen Protector (pre-applied or in box)
• SIM Tray Ejector
• USB Cable (Type-C)

Note: A charging adapter is not included with this product. Please use a compatible 15W charging adapter.

3. Setup

3.1. SIM Card Installation

To install your SIM card:

1. Locate the SIM card tray on the side of your phone.
2. Insert the SIM tray ejector tool into the small hole next to the tray and press firmly until the tray pops out.
3. Place your Nano-SIM card(s) into the tray with the gold contacts facing down, ensuring proper orientation.
4. Carefully push the tray back into the slot until it is flush with the phone's side.

3.2. Powering On/Off

• To Power On: Press and hold the Power button (located on the side) until the vivo logo appears.
• To Power Off: Press and hold the Power button, then select "Power off" from the options on the screen.
• To Restart: Press and hold the Power button, then select "Restart" from the options on the screen.

3.3. Initial Setup

Upon first power-on, follow the on-screen prompts to:

• Select your language and region.
• Connect to a Wi-Fi network.
• Sign in with your Google account or create a new one.
• Set up screen lock (PIN, pattern, password, or fingerprint).
• Review and accept terms and conditions.

4.2. Camera Usage

4.3. Fingerprint Sensor

The vivo Y28e 5G includes a side-mounted capacitive fingerprint sensor for secure unlocking and authentication.

1. Go to Settings > Security > Fingerprint.
2. Follow the on-screen instructions to register your fingerprint.
3. Once registered, you can unlock your phone by placing your registered finger on the sensor.

Connect the provided USB Type-C cable to the phone's charging port and connect the other end to a compatible 15W charging adapter (not included). The battery icon on the screen will indicate charging status.
