Setup
1. Unboxing and Initial Inspection
Carefully remove the watch from its packaging. Inspect the watch for any visible damage. Ensure all components, including the watch and bracelet, are present.

2. Initial Winding
As an automatic watch, it is powered by the motion of your wrist. However, for initial startup or after a period of inactivity, manual winding is recommended to build up a power reserve.
- Locate the crown on the side of the watch case.
- Ensure the crown is in the normal (pushed-in) position.
- Turn the crown clockwise approximately 30-40 times. This will manually wind the mainspring.
- The watch should begin to run.
3. Setting Time and Date
- Setting the Date: Pull the crown out to the first click position. Turn the crown counter-clockwise to adjust the date. Avoid setting the date between 9:00 PM and 3:00 AM, as this can damage the movement.
- Setting the Day: Pull the crown out to the first click position. Turn the crown clockwise to adjust the day.
- Setting the Time: Pull the crown out to the second click position. The second hand will stop. Turn the crown to set the hour and minute hands. To ensure accurate time setting, synchronize with a reliable time source. Push the crown back to the normal position once the time is set.

4. Bracelet Adjustment
The stainless steel bracelet can be adjusted by adding or removing links to achieve a comfortable fit. This procedure typically requires specialized tools and is best performed by a qualified watchmaker or jeweler.

Operating Your Watch
Automatic Movement
Your Orient Neo 70s Revival watch is equipped with an automatic mechanical movement. This means the watch is powered by the natural motion of your arm. As you wear the watch, an oscillating weight inside the movement rotates, winding the mainspring and storing energy. If the watch is not worn for an extended period, the power reserve will deplete, and the watch will stop. Simply wear it again or manually wind it as described in the "Initial Winding" section to restart it.
Water Resistance (WR 50m)
This watch has a water resistance rating of 50 meters (WR 50m). This rating indicates that the watch is suitable for short periods of recreational swimming, showering, or washing hands. It is not suitable for diving, snorkeling, or prolonged water immersion. Always ensure the crown is fully pushed in before any contact with water.
- Do not operate the crown while the watch is wet or submerged.
- Avoid exposing the watch to sudden temperature changes, which can compromise water resistance.
- Water resistance is not a permanent condition and may decrease over time due to wear and tear or impact.

Maintenance
Cleaning
To maintain the appearance of your watch, wipe the case and bracelet regularly with a soft, dry cloth. For stainless steel, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by immediate drying. Avoid using harsh chemicals, solvents, or abrasive cleaners.
Storage
When not wearing your watch, store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, and strong magnetic fields. The original watch box is ideal for storage.
Regular Servicing
Mechanical watches benefit from periodic servicing, typically every 3-5 years, to ensure optimal performance and accuracy. This involves cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting the movement. Consult an authorized Orient service center or a reputable watchmaker for servicing.
Troubleshooting
- Watch Not Running: If the watch has stopped, it likely needs to be wound. Manually wind the watch by turning the crown clockwise 30-40 times while it is in the normal position. If it still does not start, ensure it has not been exposed to a strong magnetic field.
- Inaccurate Time: Minor variations in accuracy are normal for mechanical watches. However, if the watch is consistently gaining or losing significant time, it may require adjustment or servicing. Ensure the watch has sufficient power reserve.
- Date/Day Not Changing: Ensure the time is set correctly, passing midnight for the date/day change mechanism to engage. Avoid setting the date/day between 9:00 PM and 3:00 AM. If the issue persists, professional inspection may be needed.
- Condensation Under Crystal: If condensation appears under the crystal, it indicates a breach in water resistance. Immediately take the watch to a service center to prevent further damage to the movement.
