1. Introduction

The Aiicioo Under Tank Heater Thermostat is designed to provide gentle and constant warmth for a variety of terrarium inhabitants, including reptiles, amphibians, small animals, and even plants. This combo set includes a durable heating pad and a precise digital thermostat for accurate temperature monitoring and control to create an optimal environment for your pets or plants.

2. Safety Information and Important Warnings

Please read and follow all safety and installation instructions carefully before use to prevent electric shock, injury, or damage to the appliance. Improper use can void the warranty.

• Placement: The Under Tank Heater should be placed on the outside of the tank only. It can be positioned underneath the tank or on the side, depending on your terrarium setup.
• Elevation for Bottom Mounting: If placing the heater on the underside of the tank, ensure the terrarium is slightly elevated using the included rubber feet or another method. This creates a small gap between the tank and the surface it rests on, allowing heat to dissipate safely and preventing overheating.
• Avoid Flammable Surfaces: Do not place the heating pad on flammable substrate surfaces such as wooden items, plastic, carpets, or similar materials.
• Do Not Cover: Never cover the heating pad with any materials.
• Water Contact: Do not place water dishes directly above the heater. Avoid spilling or spraying water on the glass where the heater is attached, as this could cause a stress crack in the glass.
• Aquatic Tanks: Do not use this heating pad on aquatic tanks, as this combination can create stress cracks in the glass.
• Substrate: Always use a substrate that will absorb water. Position your water dish on the opposite side of the terrarium from the heating pad.
• Sunlight Exposure: Do not place glass containers in areas that may be exposed to direct sunlight when using the heater.
• Temperature Fluctuation: Depending on mounting, substrate, and other conditions, the Under Tank Heater can raise the temperature by 2-8 degrees Fahrenheit.

3. Package Contents

4. Setup Instructions

1. Prepare the Terrarium: Ensure the outside surface of your terrarium where the heating pad will be applied is clean and dry.
2. Apply Heating Pad: The heating pad features an upgraded adhesive material for secure attachment. Carefully peel off the protective paper from the adhesive side of the heating pad.
3. Choose Mounting Location:
   • Bottom Mounting: If placing the pad underneath the terrarium, attach the four included rubber feet to the bottom corners of your terrarium. This creates a small gap between the tank and the surface it rests on, allowing heat to dissipate safely and preventing overheating.
   • Side Mounting: If placing the pad on the side of the terrarium, ensure it is securely adhered to the glass.

4. Position Temperature Probe: Place the temperature probe inside the terrarium in the area where you want to monitor the temperature. Ensure it is not directly on the heating pad or in water.
5. Connect Thermostat: Plug the heating pad's power cord into the outlet socket on the digital thermostat. Then, plug the thermostat's power cord into a standard 120V electrical outlet.

5. Operating Instructions

The digital thermostat allows for precise control of your terrarium's temperature. The temperature control range for the heating pad is between 104℉ and 122℉ (40-50℃), while the thermostat's display range is 32℉ to 140℉ (0-60℃).

5.1. Adjusting Temperature Setting

1. Press and hold the "SET" button for 3 seconds to enter the temperature selection mode. The display will flash.
2. Use the "UP" or "DOWN" buttons to adjust the desired temperature.
3. Once the desired temperature is set, press the "SET" button again to confirm and exit the setting mode. The display will return to showing the current temperature.

5.2. Switching Temperature Units (Fahrenheit/Celsius)

• To display the temperature in Fahrenheit (℉), press and hold the "UP" button for 3 seconds.
• To display the temperature in Celsius (℃), press and hold the "DOWN" button for 3 seconds.

6. Maintenance

The Aiicioo heating pad is designed to be waterproof and easy to clean. To maintain optimal performance and hygiene:

• Ensure the heating pad is unplugged and cooled before cleaning.
• Wipe the surface of the heating pad with a damp cloth. Do not submerge the pad or thermostat in water.
• Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the product.
• Regularly check the power cord and thermostat for any signs of damage. If any damage is observed, discontinue use and contact customer service.
