4.2 Mounting the Device

The laser level offers multiple mounting options for various applications:

  • Magnetic Bracket: Attach the magnetic bracket (E) to the back of the laser level. The bracket can then be securely mounted to metallic surfaces. The bracket also allows 360° rotation of the laser level for precise alignment.
  • Tripod Mounting: Use the 1/4"-20 screw hole (F) on the bottom of the device to mount it onto a compatible tripod (not included).

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Power On/Off and Mode Selection

To power on the device, slide the pendulum lock (B) to the unlocked position. The laser will automatically enter self-leveling mode. Press the Laser On/Off button (A) to cycle through different laser line modes (horizontal, vertical, cross lines).

To power off, slide the pendulum lock (B) to the locked position. This also protects the pendulum during transport.

5.2 Self-Leveling Mode

When the pendulum lock is in the unlocked position, the device will automatically self-level. If the device is placed on a surface that is outside its 4° ± 1° self-leveling range, the laser lines will flash rapidly to indicate an out-of-level condition. Adjust the position of the device until the laser lines stop flashing and become steady.

5.3 Manual Mode (Locked Mode)

To project laser lines at any angle, slide the pendulum lock (B) to the locked position. In this mode, the self-leveling function is deactivated, and the laser lines can be tilted. The laser lines will flash slowly to indicate that it is in manual mode and not self-leveling. This mode is ideal for tasks like installing handrails or decorative patterns.

5.4 Pulse Mode

Pulse mode is used to extend the working range of the laser level, especially in brighter conditions or when working over longer distances, by using an optional laser receiver (not included). To activate pulse mode, press and hold the Laser On/Off button (A) for a few seconds while in self-leveling mode. The laser lines will become slightly dimmer, indicating pulse mode is active. Repeat the action to deactivate pulse mode.

6. Maintenance

  • Keep the laser level clean and dry. Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe the exterior. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Regularly check the laser apertures for dust or debris and clean them gently with a soft, lint-free cloth.
  • Store the device in its carrying pouch in a cool, dry place when not in use. Ensure the pendulum lock is engaged during storage and transport.
  • Avoid extreme temperatures and direct sunlight during storage.

7. Troubleshooting

  • Laser lines are flashing rapidly: The device is out of its self-leveling range. Adjust the position of the laser level until it is within 4° ± 1° of level.
  • Laser lines are flashing slowly: The device is in manual mode. This is normal behavior for manual mode.
  • Laser lines are dim or not visible:
    • Check battery level and recharge if necessary.
    • Ensure the laser apertures are clean.
    • In bright environments, activate pulse mode and use a laser receiver for better visibility over distance.
  • Device does not power on:
    • Ensure the pendulum lock is in the unlocked position.
    • Charge the battery.
