4. Installation Instructions

Follow these steps to properly install your UltraPro under cabinet light fixture:

1. Prepare the Fixture: Remove the lens diffuser by lightly pulling the rear edge towards the front and upward. Remove the screws on the top of the cover. Firmly push forward on the bottom front of the housing to unlatch it from the catch points, revealing the hardware kit inside.
2. Mark Mounting Location: Hold the fixture base in place as a template and mark the locations for pilot holes on your mounting surface.
3. Prepare Knockouts: Choose a suitable knockout location from those provided on the fixture and remove them using your screwdriver.
4. Install Strain Relief: Remove the nut and lock washer from the strain relief assembly. Insert the threaded end of the strain relief into the chosen knockout. Secure it by tightening the nut and lock washer. Pliers may be used for additional tightening if needed.
5. Pre-Drill Holes: Use the appropriate drill bit (1/16 inch for soft wood, 3/32 inch for hard wood) to pre-drill holes in the spots you marked. Leave screw heads protruding about 1/8 inch beyond the surface.
6. Mount the Fixture Base: Line up the screws with the keyhole tabs on the fixture base. Fasten the base by sliding the fixture into place and tightening the screws.
7. Connect Wiring: Install and secure the armored cable to meet local electrical codes. Carefully connect the hot AC supply wire to the hot wire of the fixture using the provided wire quick connects. Carefully connect the neutral AC supply wire to the neutral wire of the fixture using the provided wire quick connects. Carefully connect the ground AC supply wire to the ground of the fixture using the provided wire quick connects. Pull wires to check for tightness. If your electrical system contains no grounding wire, consult a qualified electrician before proceeding.
8. Reassemble Fixture: Ensure that no bare wires are exposed. Reattach the cover housing. Secure the screws and washers, double-checking that all connections are properly sealed inside the fixture.
9. Final Steps: Reinsert the lens diffuser. Restore power to your circuit breaker or fuse box.
