4. Operating Instructions
4.1. Microphone Usage
- Polar Pattern: The AU-A04H features a cardioid polar pattern, which primarily picks up sound from the front of the microphone, reducing unwanted background noise from the sides and rear. Position the microphone directly towards the sound source (e.g., your mouth).
- Sampling Rate: With a professional sound chipset, the microphone supports a high-resolution sampling rate of 192kHz/24bit, ensuring clear and accurate audio reproduction.
- Frequency Response: The smooth, flat frequency response of 30Hz-16kHz is optimized for singing, speech, and voice-over applications.

4.2. Headphone Usage
- Audio Quality: Equipped with proprietary 50mm large-aperture drivers, the headphones deliver deep, accurate bass response and clear audio.
- Comfort and Design: The ergonomic design features soft earmuffs and a circumaural design that contours around the ears, providing good sound isolation and breathability for extended wear. The headband is made of PC + ABS for durability and lightweight comfort.
- Adjustability: The headphones are foldable and feature 90-degree swiveling earcups for easy single-side monitoring, ideal for DJs or sound engineers. The headband is stretchable to fit various head sizes.
- Cable Length: A 9.8ft coiled retractable headphone cable provides ample movement space.

5. Maintenance
- Keep the microphone and headphones clean by wiping them with a soft, dry cloth.
- Avoid exposing the equipment to extreme temperatures, humidity, or direct sunlight.
- Store the set in a clean, dry place when not in use to prevent dust accumulation and damage.
- Handle cables carefully to prevent kinks or damage, which can affect audio quality.
6. Troubleshooting
6.1. No Sound from Microphone
- Ensure the USB cable is securely connected to both the microphone and your computer.
- Check your computer's sound settings to ensure the MAONO microphone is selected as the default input device.
- Verify that the microphone's volume is not muted or set too low in your operating system or recording software.
- Try connecting the microphone to a different USB port or another computer to rule out port or system issues.
6.2. Poor Audio Quality / Background Noise
- Ensure the microphone is positioned correctly, facing the sound source directly, to utilize its cardioid polar pattern effectively.
- Use the pop filter and foam windscreen to reduce plosives (P and B sounds) and wind interference.
- Minimize ambient noise in your recording environment (e.g., turn off fans, close windows).
- Check your computer's audio settings for the microphone and adjust the input gain. Avoid setting it too high, which can introduce hiss or distortion.
- The double-shielded USB cable helps reduce interference; ensure it is not coiled tightly or near other electronic devices that could cause electromagnetic interference.
6.3. No Sound from Headphones / Echo in Headset
- Ensure the headphone jack is fully inserted into the correct port on your computer or audio device.
- Check your computer's sound settings to ensure the headphones are selected as the default output device.
- Adjust the volume levels on your computer and any connected audio software.
- If experiencing an echo, check your audio software settings for monitoring options. Ensure that microphone monitoring is not enabled directly through the headphones if it causes feedback. Adjusting the microphone's sample rate to 24 bit, 192000 Hz in Windows Control Panel (under Advanced tab of microphone properties) can sometimes resolve audio issues.
