VESAFE RV-4E09

VESAFE Wireless Tire Pressure Monitoring System User Manual

Model: RV-4E09

Introduction

Thank you for choosing the VESAFE Wireless Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS). This system is designed to provide real-time monitoring of your vehicle's tire pressure and temperature, enhancing driving safety and extending tire life. This manual provides detailed instructions for installation, operation, and maintenance of your new TPMS.

Important Safety Information

Please read all instructions carefully before installation and use. Failure to follow these instructions may result in improper operation, damage to the device, or personal injury.

  • Ensure all components are securely installed before driving.
  • Do not attempt to disassemble or repair the monitor or sensors yourself. Contact professional support if issues arise.
  • Keep other electronic devices away from the monitor to minimize interference.
  • While the TPMS provides valuable information, it is not a substitute for regular manual tire pressure checks.
  • Always pull over to a safe location before addressing any tire pressure or temperature alarms.

Product Overview

The VESAFE TPMS consists of a monitor display unit and external anti-theft sensors.

VESAFE TPMS Monitor and 4 Sensors

VESAFE TPMS Kit Contents

Figure 2: Contents of the VESAFE TPMS Kit. This image displays all components included in the package, such as the monitor, sensors, mounting bracket, wrench, hex nuts, and charging cable.

Components:

  • Monitor Display: Shows real-time tire pressure and temperature. Features a large screen for clear readings.
  • Anti-Theft Sensors (4 included): Installed on tire valve stems to measure pressure and temperature. Designed to be durable and water-resistant.
  • Mounting Bracket: For securing the monitor to your dashboard or windshield.
  • Wrench and Hex Nuts: Used for secure and anti-theft installation of sensors.
  • USB Charging Cable: For recharging the monitor's internal battery.

Setup and Installation

Monitor Setup:

  1. Charge the Monitor: Before first use, fully charge the monitor using the provided USB cable. A full charge supports driving up to 5,000 miles.
  2. Mount the Monitor: Choose a suitable location on your dashboard or windshield that does not obstruct your view. Use the suction cup mount to secure the monitor.

Sensor Installation:

The sensors are designed for easy, anti-theft installation on your tire valve stems.

Sensor Installation Steps

Figure 3: Step-by-step guide for installing the anti-theft tire pressure sensors.

  1. Remove Valve Cap: Unscrew and remove the original valve cap from the tire valve stem.
  2. Install Hex Nut: Thread the provided hex nut onto the tire valve stem.
  3. Mount Sensor: Screw the corresponding sensor onto the tire valve stem until it is hand-tight. Ensure the sensor is correctly matched to the tire position (e.g., Front Left, Rear Right).
  4. Secure Sensor: Use the provided wrench to tighten the hex nut against the sensor in an anti-clockwise direction. This secures the sensor and prevents easy removal.

Note: For longer vehicles like RVs or trailers, a signal booster (sold separately) may be recommended to ensure stable signal transmission between sensors and the monitor, especially if there is significant distance or interference.

Operating Instructions

Power On/Off & Energy Saving:

  • The monitor automatically wakes up when movement is detected.
  • To manually wake up the monitor, tap the screen.
  • The monitor will automatically enter sleep mode after a period of inactivity to conserve battery.

Figure 4: The monitor's energy-saving features, including automatic sleep and wake-up by movement detection.

Real-Time Monitoring:

Once powered on and sensors are installed, the monitor will display real-time pressure (PSI/Bar) and temperature (°F/°C) for each connected tire. The display cycles through all connected tires every 5 seconds.

Real-Time Accurate Reading Display

Figure 5: The monitor display showing real-time tire pressure and temperature readings. It indicates support for up to 10 front tires and 7 rear tires, with pressure range 0-188 PSI and temperature range -4 to 185°F.

Setting Parameters:

Refer to the on-screen menu for adjusting alarm thresholds for high/low pressure and temperature. The alarm will trigger if tire pressure is 20% higher or 10% lower than the preset values.

Automatic Connection/Disconnection for Towed Vehicles:

For tow vehicles with trailers, the TPMS automatically connects to and displays information from the towed vehicle's tires when detected within range. It will automatically disconnect and hide this information when the rear car is not being towed.

Alarm Modes

The VESAFE TPMS features 5 alarm modes to alert you to potential tire issues, ensuring safer driving. When an abnormal condition occurs, an audible and visible warning will be triggered on the monitor.

5 Alarm Modes for Driving Safety

Figure 7: Visual representation of the five alarm modes: Fast Leak, High/Low Pressure, Sensor Low Battery, and High Temperature.

  • High Pressure Alarm: Alerts when tire pressure exceeds the preset maximum.
  • Low Pressure Alarm: Alerts when tire pressure drops below the preset minimum.
  • Fast Leak Alarm: Detects rapid air loss from a tire.
  • High Temperature Alarm: Warns if tire temperature rises above a safe threshold.
  • Sensor Low Battery Alarm: Indicates when a sensor's battery needs replacement.

Maintenance

Monitor Battery:

The monitor has a built-in rechargeable battery. Recharge it using the provided USB cable when the battery indicator shows low. A full charge can last for approximately 5,000 miles of driving.

Sensor Battery Replacement:

The external sensors use replaceable CR2032 batteries, which have a lifespan of up to 2 years. When a sensor low battery alarm is triggered, replace the battery promptly.

  1. Carefully unscrew the sensor cap.
  2. Remove the old CR2032 battery.
  3. Insert a new CR2032 battery with the positive (+) side facing up.
  4. Securely screw the sensor cap back on, ensuring a tight seal to maintain water resistance.

Cleaning:

Wipe the monitor and sensors with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
