1. Introduction
This manual provides detailed instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of the EVERSECU 9-Channel 12V 5Amp DC Metal Boxed Cabinet Regulated UPS Power Supply Unit. This unit is designed to provide stable and reliable power for various low-voltage applications, including CCTV cameras, PTZ cameras, IR illuminators, video processors, and access control systems. It features a backup battery link for uninterrupted power supply during outages.
Key Features:
- Battery Backup: Supports a 12V lead-acid battery (not included) for continuous operation.
- General Protection: Each output channel is equipped with an independent PTC (Positive Temperature Coefficient) fuse and an LED indicator. In case of a fault on one channel, only that specific output is affected, allowing other channels to remain operational.
- Short Circuit Protection: Independent PTC fuses automatically open the circuit during a short circuit condition and reset once the fault is cleared.
- High Voltage Protection: Integrated surge protection safeguards connected devices from high voltage events.
- Over Current Protection: The power supply automatically enters a self-protection state during over current conditions and returns to normal operation once the condition is resolved.
2. Setup and Installation
Carefully unpack the power supply unit and inspect it for any signs of damage. Ensure all components are present before proceeding with installation.
2.1 Mounting the Unit
The unit is designed for indoor use only. Mount the metal cabinet securely to a wall or suitable surface using appropriate fasteners. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit.

2.2 Wiring Connections
Warning: Ensure the unit is disconnected from AC power before making any connections. Do not open the cover while the unit is powered.
- AC Power Input: Connect the AC power cord to the unit's AC input port (AC 100-240V, 50/60Hz).
- Battery Backup Connection: Connect a 12V lead-acid battery (not included) to the designated battery terminals inside the unit. Observe correct polarity (+ to + and - to -).
- Device Connections: Connect your CCTV cameras, PTZ devices, or access control components to the 9 individual 12V DC output channels. Each channel has a dedicated PTC fuse and LED indicator.

3. Operating Instructions
Once all connections are securely made, connect the unit to AC power. The unit will automatically begin supplying 12V DC power to the connected devices.
3.1 LED Indicators
The front panel features LED indicators to display the unit's status:
- AC Power Indicator: Illuminates when the unit is receiving AC input power.
- DC Output Indicator: Illuminates when the unit is providing DC output power.
- Battery Status Indicator: Indicates the status of the connected backup battery (e.g., charging, fully charged, discharging).
- Channel Status LEDs: Each output channel has an individual LED. A lit LED indicates normal operation for that channel. If an LED is off, it may indicate a fault (e.g., short circuit, over current) on that specific channel.
3.2 UPS Functionality
In the event of an AC power failure, the unit will seamlessly switch to battery backup mode without interruption, ensuring continuous power to your connected devices. When AC power is restored, the unit will automatically switch back to AC power and begin recharging the connected battery.
4. Maintenance
Regular maintenance helps ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your EVERSECU UPS Power Supply Unit.
- Cleaning: Periodically clean the exterior of the unit with a soft, dry cloth. Ensure ventilation openings are free from dust and debris to prevent overheating.
- Battery Check: If a backup battery is installed, check its condition periodically according to the battery manufacturer's recommendations. Replace the battery if it shows signs of degradation or failure.
- Connection Integrity: Occasionally inspect all wiring connections to ensure they are secure and free from corrosion.
- Environmental Conditions: Ensure the unit is operated within its specified environmental conditions (e.g., temperature, humidity) to prevent damage.
5. Troubleshooting
This section addresses common issues you might encounter with your power supply unit.
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| No power output from a channel (LED off) | Short circuit or over current on the channel. | Disconnect the device from the affected channel. Check for wiring faults or device malfunction. The PTC fuse should reset automatically once the fault is removed. |
| Unit not powering on (AC indicator off) | No AC input power or faulty power cord. | Check AC power source and power cord connection. Ensure the power outlet is functional. |
| Unit switches to battery mode frequently | Unstable AC power or battery issue. | Verify AC power stability. Check the condition of the backup battery; replace if necessary. |
| Battery not charging | Battery not connected correctly or faulty battery. | Ensure battery connections are secure and correct polarity is observed. Test or replace the battery. |
