Setup and Installation

Installation of the Amerelle LED Emergency Light is straightforward. Simply plug the unit into any standard 120V AC wall outlet. The device is designed to remain plugged in to ensure its internal 3.6V 200mA Ni-MH rechargeable battery is continuously charged and ready for use.

  • Placement: For optimal emergency preparedness, place units in key areas such as hallways, bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and basements. Consider placing one near your fuse box.
  • Charging Indicator: A small red LED guide light will illuminate continuously when the device is properly plugged into a live outlet and charging. This indicator confirms the unit is ready for a power failure.

Operating Instructions

The Amerelle LED Emergency Light offers three distinct operating modes:

  1. Power Failure Light: When plugged into an active outlet, the unit will automatically illuminate its front panel LEDs (3000K white light) if the power supply is interrupted. This provides immediate illumination during blackouts.
  2. Handheld Flashlight: To use as a portable flashlight, simply unplug the device from the wall outlet. The retractable plug will fold in. Locate the slide switch on the side of the unit. Slide the switch to one of the "AUTO" positions to activate the flashlight. The unit can then be carried to illuminate your path or inspect areas like a fuse box.
  3. 24-Hour Guide Light: When plugged in, the small red LED on the unit serves as a continuous guide light, indicating that the unit is charged and ready. This light is not intended as a nightlight and is designed to be subtle.

Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and readiness of your Amerelle LED Emergency Light, keep it plugged into a live wall outlet at all times when not in use as a portable flashlight. A fully charged unit can provide up to 7 hours of continuous light during a power outage.

The internal 3.6V 200mA Ni-MH rechargeable battery is not designed for user replacement. Attempting to open the unit or replace the battery may damage the device and void any potential warranty.
