Setup

1. Connecting the Handset

1. Locate the coiled handset cord.
2. Plug one end of the coiled cord into the handset.
3. Plug the other end of the coiled cord into the jack labeled HANDSET on the side or bottom of the phone base unit.

2. Connecting to the Telephone Line

1. Locate the line cord.
2. Plug one end of the line cord into the jack labeled LINE on the phone base unit.
3. Plug the other end of the line cord into your telephone wall jack.

3. Mounting Options (Desk or Wall)

The Beetel B17 can be placed on a desk or mounted on a wall.

• Desk Mount: Simply place the phone on a flat surface. Ensure the cords are not tangled.
• Wall Mount: The phone base has keyhole slots on the bottom for wall mounting. Secure two screws (not included) into the wall, matching the spacing of the keyhole slots. Hang the phone onto the screws.

Operating Instructions

Making a Call

1. Lift the handset.
2. Listen for a dial tone.
3. Dial the desired telephone number using the keypad.
4. Wait for the call to connect.

Receiving a Call

1. When the phone rings (and the LED indicator flashes), lift the handset.
2. Begin your conversation.

Ending a Call

Place the handset back into the cradle on the phone base unit.

Using Special Functions

• Mute: During a call, press the MUTE button to temporarily disable your microphone. The other party will not hear you. Press MUTE again to resume speaking.
• Pause: Press the PAUSE button during dialing to insert a brief pause. This is useful for accessing services that require a delay after dialing an access code.
